Deputies have been conducting an extensive search of the area, including checks of seasonal properties, wooded areas, and outbuildings.

The Sheriff’s Office is urging property owners in the vicinity, particularly those with seasonal homes, cabins, or vacant structures, to inspect their properties and report anything unusual.

I worry that he's sustained a head injury and is wandering or laying somewhere confused. Is there any water nearby?

Missaukee County Sheriff Wil Yancer said his office received a report from a resident that found the man’s shoes.

LE also got a phone call from an individual that had been out in what turned out to be a Christmas tree field and found what she believed to be a deceased individual. We responded out there and unfortunately confirmed it was our missing individual from the accident."

The cause of his death remains undetermined, and the investigation is ongoing.

I wonder if he had a head injury and walked off confused and then passed away from his injuries? Or was he trying to find help? RIP
