One of the articles nurse posted stated that the baby was removed from the grandmother to a foster home. I don't know which grandma it is either, but I feel better with that baby in foster care.

O.K. I'll give anyone empathy for sins of their father. That had to stink big time. However, he commited his own unforgivable sins. No passing go, no get out of jail free card, too d*m* bad for you, don't abuse kids, and own up to your crimes.

Oh and now who will care for the second baby? Grandmom?

As many cases as I have read on here, each child abuse case still shocks me to my core. Sex assault of a 6-month-old baby? There are so many children being abused, assaulted and murdered that it makes me physically sick to my stomach. I'm never going to understand. I just can't.

The evil that must permeate from these people is frightening. I don't know that I believe in the devil, but I definitely do believe in true evil. We have seen it too many times not to. These aren't cases of mental illness. These are cases of evil. Pure evil.

We must not allow ourselves to become jaded from reading these stories. We must be shocked anew for each horrifying case or nothing will ever change.

Well stated Belinda. All of it but particularly the bbm. When I find it hard to stomach the crimes against childen, especially the sexual ones, I have to pull back for a bit. I always return to these threads though, for just that reason. We must continue to be shocked and to witness for these little ones. Turning away is not an option or we become part of a percieved condonation of the inexcusable.

Thank you. I feel that I have a duty to bear witness for these children. Someone has to care about them. Someone has to be outraged. If I can do nothing else, I can care and take them into my heart. I hope someday that I will be physically able to do more. I would love to be a CASA Advocate.

My husband asks me all the time why I continue to come to WS and read about these cases and follow them other ways. Sometimes when I am crying about something I read here, He is like "Just stop looking! Why are you purposely reading about that when it makes you so upset?!" I just tell him, I HAVE to. There may not be anything I can do, but at least I care. And maybe I can get educated too in the process. So if I see something that doesn't look right, I can report it or do SOMETHING.
We are here because we care.

sentenced today

Alisha Hall faced the judge first. Judge Geoffery Neithercut sentenced her to 25 to 40 years for first-degree criminal sexual conduct and six to 20 years for child sexually abusive activity. Her sentences will run concurrently.

After she left the courtroom, Daniel Hall apologized for his actions.

Judge Neithercut sentenced him to life in prison for first-degree criminal sexual conduct. Neithercut said Daniel Hall "needed to be removed from society for the rest of his life.”
