This case is driving me crazy :( I truly wish they would hold a press conference, provide updates, anything really. Hoping whatever they do have leads them to bringing her home safe! My wife used to live in those apartments, and we live close now. It's pretty scary to think about.
It is scary just knowing that there are people like that security guard out there in the world. And most people who know him probably don't have the first clue about his true nature.

True story. He's also a firefighter ... those guys are true brotherhood. I'm guessing they are shocked at all of this . Most departments I know Are truly good guys with integrity ...this would not be taken lightly in the "house". Departments are close... FD are close with LE.

I highly doubt he's been on the job since that search.

I am local and check various pages daily for updates. I am so sad it is going on 12 weeks without her being found. Will watch tomorrow to see what wdiv's update (channel 4 news) will be. Praying this is all resolved soon.

I'm eager for the new release but hope that it isn't just a "recap" type of story.

Hell no... captain would distant any of this from the department.

From the promo for WDIV "defenders" report today at 5:00PM:

Local 4 Defender Karen Drew will have the latest in the search for Stislicki at 5 p.m. Tuesday (watch Local 4). The story includes updated information on the search from police and more about the Berkley home that was searched in connection with Stislicki's disappearance.

Will there really be anything new?

Respectfully snipped by me.

I sure hope there is something new and helpful, but I suspect not or they wouldn't wait to "schedule" it, right? Where is she???

I'm going to guess that any information talked about tonight will be stuff we may already know or may have read elsewhere ( gossip or rumor isn't allowed here)
So it might not be new news to us but may be new to others ( who don't sleuth lol!)
I could be wrong, heck it wouldn't be the first time!!! Heck I hope I am wrong. I'll officially eat crow here in front of everyone if they do release something new to us!!

I walked over 14 miles this weekend in Livonia and Farmington Hills along nature trails and rural areas with my dog just hoping to find something. I keep thinking that the person who abducted her did it as an impulsive act without a ton of planning and had to be sloppy in discarding evidence. Threw her coat or keys or phone out a car window or dropped in a random dumpster while getting away from the scene thinking they were hiding evidence.

I did not know Danielle but this case has just stuck with me. I have a son her age who lives in Denver and we speak a few times a week and I don't know his every day routine or schedule. I think of Danielle's mom who worked with her I believe and to go from seeing her everyday in person to not knowing if she is safe has to be terrifying.

I remember a year and a half ago or so I was at work and this sweet younger man who worked with me was at his desk crying and as it turns out his infant nephew had just been killed by his sister's boyfriend....turns out it was the friend Danielle was meeting for dinner the night she disappeared. Sad coincidence .

It was such a nice weekend too so I bet a lot of people were out walking. Still unusually warm out so hopefully something is found soon.

Not sure how far this is from FH

Body found near LaGrange County lake

http://wane.com/2017/02/21/body-found-near-lagrange-county-lake/

I just registered to post this link, but you were quicker (I've been lurking on WS since years, but never registered, because I'm from Europe so most of the time I don't feel relevant here). Danielle seems such a fun person. Part of me hopes she's still alive.

ETA: I forgot what I actally wanted to say: according to google it's a 3h 30m drive from Berkley.

IF I am looking properly, Google says 2 hours 44 minutes. Within the realm of possibility I suppose. I guess the lakes being there I have worried about her being in the water.
I SO BAD want this girl home safe...

When I map from Berkley, Michigan to Stone Lake, Indiana it says 3 hours and 36 minutes. That seems possible as well. I wish they would've at least mentioned gender.

Thank you. You seem like such a nice and caring community. All the cases I'm following (Birna, Danielle, Nathan O'Brian and his grandparents and now Abby and Libby) are discussed in a very respectful manner.
