You may be right about that, but it would mean they knew a member of the family was an accessory, and I'm not sure they would know that, even if it were true. Anyway, the choice to protect him may not have been theirs; some docile parents are totally dominated by their more assertive children.

True. I just can't imagine ever covering for my family if one was to do what he's done. It's not explainable to me.

IMO - They all know what happened and their all going about their lives like normal. It's pretty sick.
