My thinking cap is spinning round and round on my head, regarding the DNA. IF Hines Park incident arrest was made possible by DNA comparison to FG's known DNA (which is what I *kinda* undestood from the program last night) how was his DNA in the database to begin with?
Even if they did gather DNA during the searches in regards to the Dani case, there would have already had to be FG's DNA in the database to match it to to 'label' it FG's.
So either...
1. Floyd gave them a DNA sample in cooperation with the Dani investigation (hahaha, pretty sure THAT didn't happen.)
2. At some time in the past he had submitted it for some unknown reason. Not likely, but possible.
3. Were they able to get it from an ancestry-type DNA profile? I have no idea if they would even do that, or if they could do that, or if a warrant would even be issued on such a thing.
4. They followed FG around and grabbed a discarded cigarette butt, pop bottle, etc. I have seen them do this in several other cases when a person being investigated refused to give a DNA sample but there wasn't enough to order to submit to one. Crafty cop work. Crimes have been solved by this method.

We need a layer in here, stat, to help us on this.

My thought was that when the jogging incident happened and they submitted DNA from the jogger, say under her fingernails, that it sat in the database with "no match". So they had a sketch, but no name of someone to go after. Then they submitted DNA from things found within his home, which could be his, his wife's, and say, Dani's. Now this DNA makes a connection to the former "unknown Floyd DNA" that was sitting in there without a match. But now it has a name tied to it if they took something from his home that the "knew was only Floyd DNA" to create a profile for him.

Again, totally a guess...and I don't even know if that makes sense like it does to me. But I read earlier that people can have DNA already in the system, but no connection to a case, and then when it's reprocessed or whatever they do, it can form a hit/match years later from samples already in there. I could be totally wrong though.

Scroll down to "What is a DNA Database?

When a new crime scene DNA profile is added to the database it is searched against all the other DNA profiles stored on the database. The crime scene profile might match with stored DNA profiles from other crime scenes, indicating a link between these crimes. Or it might match with an individual’s DNA profile, suggesting that they could be a suspect for the crime. When a new DNA profile from an individual is added to the database it is searched against all the stored crime scene DNA profiles on the database. Again, a match may indicate that the individual may be a suspect for the crime. This process is known as ‘speculative searching’ and it results in reports of matches that can be sent back to the police for further investigation. The police will retrieve the name and other identifying information of the individual from the DNA database so they can interview, arrest and perhaps prosecute them for the crime. A DNA database of individuals’ DNA profiles is not needed in order to compare the DNA profiles of known suspects with DNA left at a crime scene. Its only purpose is to introduce new suspects into the investigation via unexpected matches known as ‘cold hits’.

Floyd is guilty as sin. I'm not going to argue with anyone about facts. Puzzle pieces are all coming together. He knows what he did. Because he has no flipping soul he'll never tell what he did to Dani.<modsnip> I highly doubt his wife still backs him. She surely nor any of her family appeared in court in his defense! Much love to her parents and siblings and friends. Floyd will get his time. Wait and see. <modsnip>

I believe he is guilty- just trying to figure out how he got her, took her and---- what I find most curious or puzzling is that her car was at her residence, the apartment complex. Perhaps he followed her home and as she was exiting her car he kidnapped her --- since he was a security guard where she worked, perhaps he became obsessed with her and finally on that day he acted out his obsession. Thoughts?

Hm. It's the website inquisitr. Is it not allowed to be posted?

I'm not sure. You might want to contact a Mod. I'm not sure if inquisitir is Main Stream Media (MSM) or not. If it is not, then we're not allowed to post it here.

No. If it shows up blocked out like that, you can't post it.

He may have used a ruse after she started to get out of her car (after following her there) that brought her close to his car. Such as "you left something behind....I found this in the parking lot and followed you to give it back to you" She probably trusted him as a security guard and got close to his car or even in it. How very sad we are taught to trust those that are "helpful".

Makes me mad!!!:stormingmad:

Is the HIV testing a common thing during a rape trial?

Truest thing spoken here.

There is no "IF he were involved" now. There is no way anyone can say he might still be innocent in Danielle's disappearance.

I believe it is when being arrested and housed in a correctional facility for a crime or being charged with a sexual crime. I can't find something that easily explains it but did find these laws that may apply on page 11. I know prisoners are given a blood test as part of their intake.

JUSTICE for DANI!! :rose:

July 6. His lawyer requested it to be in the morning.

she knew him and she trusted him so that scenario is certainly plausible

Agree. I'm anxious to know more about the evidence they have linking him to her disappearance and hope he fesses up to where she's at. To be clear, there is no competition here for who is "right or wrong." Most everyone believed he was involved but the public didn't have enough info to know how. We all want justice for Dani and I hope this is the break that was needed!!

Does anyone know the context of the July 6 hearing? Is it pre-trial?

BBM. Agreed. I want Rich and Ann to know where their daughter is and then I want that guy to rot in hell for the rest of time.

Was it originally reported by LE that she did not drive her car home?

I keep thinking of the scenario in which he took her and I keep coming back to it happening at her apartment. Just last night I was driving home to take my dog for a walk and I got out of my car with my keys and phone and went into the house. I left my purse and everything else in the car because I knew I would be right back. I can see her doing the same thing, running inside for 1 minute to pick up something and planning on running right back out. I wonder if he got access to the building and was waiting under a stairwell for her before she got to her apartment door.

I think multiple people from her workplace reported that he had asked her for a ride home.

And LE said they believed she never made it back to the apartment.
