When I opened my eyes this morning my first thoughts were of Dan and Ann Stislicki and their family.

One year ago today their world was shattered. On this day of tragic memory, I also reflect on their kindness and integrity.

They have endured the worst nightmare imaginable, and yet they've been the epitome of grace and dignity throughout.

FG took their precious Dani, but he was never able to force them to sink to his depraved level.

Dan and Ann are such an inspiration of how to be our best selves in the face of evil.

Thoughts and prayers for them as we enter year two...

Was thinking about Dani, and somehow her name got interjected into it. My mistake, and I'm so sorry for that!

No Burgundy candle as first hoped for either. Pink was the closest we had!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe Floyd gets sentenced this upcoming Friday, December the 8th. I'll be steadfast in prayer that Floyd gets the maximum sentence possible, God willing!

I come here every day, hoping Dani has been found overnight. I know it's not likely to happen that way, but a girl can hope...
While I am glad Floyd is off the streets, and hope he gets the max sentence for the Hines Park Jogger attack, it also feels a bit defeating, as he now has no motivation to tell the truth about where Dani is.
My heart is so sad for Dani's friends and family and all who have grown to love her.

I'm hoping that they will eventually have enough to use against Floyd that he will want to reveal her location to use in his favor. That or they find her her without his knowledge and really get him good.

Whenever I come here to check in, I hold my breath waiting to see how many new updates there are. Whenever I see several or many updates, I usually know something has happened, even though I usually hear it on the local news first anyways.

I have a gut feeling now that he has plead guilty to the Hines drive attack maybe a few more people have come forward in trying to help. The people that know him at least have a better idea when speaking to the police of his life... likes, where he went, little things he might have stated that seemed off. JMO

I agree with your thoughts! LE has to be working off tips, there's just no way they are searching willy nilly, here and there! That would be akin to looking for a needle in a haystack! I firmly believe they are working off tips submitted by those close to the perpetrator.
