Plead not guilty. Bond denied-Held without bond.
Trial was set to begin on 1/4/22 continued to 3/29/22 & continued to 7/11/22.
Information & court hearings from 11/21/17 thru 3/17/22 reference post #865 here:

3/28/22: Order writ habeas corpus filed. Request/Notice-film/media coverage filed. MIFile proof of service filed. 3/30/22: MIFile proof of service filed. 3/30/22 Update: Evidentiary hearing rescheduled on 5/3/22 @ 9am. 4/4/22: Order: Writ Habeas Corpus filed.
5/2/22: Brief filed; bench/re defendant's motion to adj. 5/3/22 Update: Hearing was held. Testified at evidentiary hearing: Farmington Police Chief Chuck Nebus. Troy Police Chief Gary Mayer had received a tip with specific locations regarding how & where Danielle’s keys, Fitbit, cellphone & body could be found. Police only found the keys & Fitbit where the tipster said they would be — near Grand River Avenue’s intersection with M-5, near Stislicki’s apartment at the Independence Green complex. That December 2016 tip raises concerns about possible violations of attorney-client privileges related to confidential communications. Regarding the thorny tip, Galloway is claiming government malfeasance & requesting a quashing of certain information, if not outright case dismissal. Farmington Hills Police Detective Robert Gerak was the last of several witnesses to testify & he recalled for Judge Phyllis McMillen that he was upset when he learned Mayer had chosen to shield a friend rather than see “justice done.” Other Farmington Hills law enforcers testified about a tip sheet that the defense attorney said she couldn’t use for her own investigative purposes because it never identified the source that allowed Nebus’ officers to retrieve Stislicki’s possessions. The hearing concluded during Gerak's testimony. McMillen scheduled more testimony for 6/3/22. Judge moved hearing on 6/3/22 to 6/13/22 by Notice @ 9am, proceeding to held in person. Time changed from 9am to 1pm.
5/5/22: MiFile proof of service filed. 5/6/22: Order Writ Habeas Corpus filed-writ issued. 5/20/22: MiFile proof of serviced filed. 6/1/22: Transcript filed evidentiary hearing (5/3/22). 6/8/22: Motion filed emergency/to quash/defendant. MiFile proof of service filed.

I tried to watch the hearing but can barely hear it, even with the volume turned way, way up!

Maybe you'll be able to find an article about the hearing later... :)

I have it back on. FG's attorney is much easier to hear and understand than the prosecutor. I still can't hear the detective very well through his mask.

Will the results of a polygraph test that Floyd Galloway took be admissible in the trial against him? Galloway is facing charges in connection with the murder of Danielle Stislicki.

A former FBI agent performed a polygraph on Galloway. Now a judge must decide if the information taken from the polygraph can be used against him...

The article said they will have another hearing next week - did you catch the date? Or if not - I'll just check the court site tomorrow to see if they have updated it. TIA! :)

OT/Related: Can you trust the results of a lie detector test?

First of all, what is a lie detector? It’s also known as a polygraph test.

In movies and TV shows, it is used to decide if a suspect is innocent or guilty. But it’s not quite that simple.

During a polygraph test, the person being questioned is assessed for heart rate, blood pressure, respiration, and skin conductivity.

Rate and depth of respiration are measured by pneumographs (used to measure volume change during breathing) that are wrapped around their chest. They are also made to wear a blood pressure cuff and two electrodes placed on the fingers or hand.

The person is asked control questions and relevant questions. The measurements from the sensors are recorded (it used to be recorded on paper and is now often done digitally). The polygraph examiner looks at the results and tries to determine whether those measurements indicate if a person is lying...

.....
The judge heard testimony on Monday, from both sides. The hearing will continue on June 24, before a ruling is made. The trial start has also been delayed until Nov. 28.

The Floyd Galloway trial announced a significant delay on Monday (June 13). Galloway is the man charged with murdering Danielle Stislicki.

The question everyone is wondering about is evolving around key evidence, and will it be admitted in the case?

I spent the day in court Monday listening to both sides fight for and against a tip given in the case, which led to Stislicki’s keys and Fitbit findings.

But the question is, was that tip handled the right way?...

6/8/22: Motion filed emergency/to quash/defendant. MiFile proof of service filed. Evidentiary hearing continued on 6/13/22. 6/13/22 Update: A former FBI agent James Hoppe performed a polygraph on Galloway, who was hired by the defense. Galloway’s defense attorney wants that information dismissed based on a violation of attorney-client privilege. Now a judge must decide if the information taken from the polygraph can be used against him. The judge wants to meet again next week to consider whether an evidentiary hearing is needed. This could be a blow to the prosecution if the evidence is not allowed in, but there is a lot of other evidence that is expected to be introduced in this case.
6/13/22 Update: Proceedings were held in person. Adjourned-awaiting report. 6/16/22: Request/Notice/Media coverage filed. Order: MiFile proof of service filed. Next hearing to be held in person on 6/24/22 @ 1:30pm to see if there is a need for another evidentiary hearing. Trial has been rescheduled from 7/11/22 to 11/28/22 by notice.

Court took a break. When Judge returned, WDIV livestream cut out at @3:00PM.

Not sure if it is normal practice (if it is, It shouldn't be!) but it felt very insensitive and invasive when the camera person focused in on the victims family when it went to break and you could overhear them. Zooming right in on their faces!

well - from the court site - it looks like the status hearing was continued to 7/13, plus a hearing set on 7/20. If anyone can find out "what" the hearing on 7/20 is called - it would be appreciated! TIA!

I noticed that, too. Not sure if they realized that they could be seen and heard on the livestream.
