Police in River Rouge are searching for 2-year-old Denver Statton after he was taken by his non-custodial father, Steven Miracle, who was visiting his son at a home on Pine Street and spent the night. On Monday morning, Miracle left with the child and stole a car from the residence.

At this time, police are not issuing an AMBER Alert because there were no direct threats made to harm the child. This is also not considered an abduction, because the non-custodial father was an invited member of the home.

?? Conceded that LE knows more about the situation ... but just because I invite someone to stay at my home doesn’t mean that person is authorized to take off with my (hypothetical) child. I wonder if they are trying to intentionally de-escalate the pressure on the non-custodial father.

Denver is about 3 feet tall, 47 pounds, and may still be in pajamas.

Miracle is around 6 feet tall, 200 pounds with red facial hair, and was last seen wearing a tan Carhartt jacket.

Police search for missing River Rouge child, father

Police are asking the public for help to find a missing two-year-old boy from River Rouge.

Michigan State Police Tuesday issued an endangered missing advisory for Denver Alexander Statton.

Officials said the boy was last seen at about 7 a.m. Monday at 84 1/2 Pine Street near West Jefferson Avenue and Coolidge Highway in River Rouge...
