This man was found in the crawlspace of an condemned home. There were several mattresses and wine bottles around his body.
He was mummified and missing one or more hands, but no PMI is given.
He was 5'8 and wore dark pants, a striped shirt and a rubber galosh on his left foot.

The only possible match I could find is Furman Joseph Byrd who disappeared 1 year before the discovery of John Doe:

Thanks, but I really don't think there will be a missing persons match for him.

On NamUS, I think there's only 4 black males reported missing in the 60s, when obviously there was probably a lot more than that judging by the black John Does who turned up in the 60s. I heard back then when it was really racist, in most case police would pretty much chuck out a MP report for a black man or the next of kin didn't trust the police to file it anyway.

Then you have this John Doe being a homeless black man in the 1960s, I don't think there's a chance he's registered as a missing person anywhere.
