I believe Deisha W is now Deisha H.

Yes. Her maiden name is W------. What I presume to be her married name is H---.

Consequently, If our UID is her father or brother, perhaps his surname is W------. If he is her husband, perhaps his surname is H---.

"Mazur said a previous fingerprint test run against data from both local and state police was unsuccessful because of decomposition.

Mazur said the findings suggested 'some level of dismemberment,' and that the cause of death has not yet been determined.

The victim, Mazur told MailOnline, was either a white or light-skinned black male.

'Hopefully we'll be able to solve this mystery,' she said.

Mazur anyone with information to come forward and contact the Wayne County Medical Examiner's Office at 313-833-2504."

that's it! thank you a million times :) I knew it was very similar.
So, you are saying that according to the people you spoke to, the body was found at the missing man's house? Is the man still missing?

Well done! You should call it in.

I found a few intriguing possibilities in Indiana:

Ross Trotter, AA, missing since 2011. He was homeless, and his sister reported him missing when she lost contact with him. https://www.findthemissing.org/en/cases/14469/5/

Richard DeMar, AA, missing since September 2012. He was 32. I can't find anything more about him. http://indiana.americasmissingadults.com/

This one's intriguing. Jeremy Wooten, white, is a homeless man from New Albany, IN, last seen in September 2013. https://www.findthemissing.org/en/cases/24896/0/. And he's got an RIP tattoo on his left arm -- but it says something else: "Drawing of a cardinal head, DWB, R.I.P., Dad, 12-25-00 tattooed in black ink on his left arm. "

Found a De'Sha who passed away in 2009, but in September, not April: http://blackbonemarrow.com/rip-desha-woods/ She died of leukemia and seems like the kind of girl who might have inspired a tribute from somebody who didn't know her well.

I looked in Classmates for all persons named Deisha, who were in their HS class of 1999.

I found two, and got their DOB's from PeopleFinders:

One (Deisha B) went to Tri-Cities High School, East Point, GA (DOB 22-Apr-1981), and has a facebook page with current activity.
The other (Deisha W) went to Lew Wallace High School, Gary, IN (DOB 03-Mar-1981). I don't see a facebook page on her.

Did you look up Deisha Dodds? She matches; we just don't know if she's deceased.

I just googled "Deisha August 23, 1981" and so far the first 8 pages are nothing but news links asking the public for help. Glad he's getting exposure!!!

Is there a way to put his tattoo next to the UID tattoo to see if the "freestyle" writing is the same? Because with him having previos tats he may have used the same person to give him new ones.

Also, side note, is this the same Deisha D who got into it with a Chinese restaurant in NYC over being served mouse meat???

"On Jan. 29, CW11 aired a news story by Chris Glorioso about the New Food King restaurant in Brooklyn, alleging that it had served mouse meat in a takeout meal box to Brooklyn's Deisha Dodd, before having the food professionally tested"

IMO, the freestyle writing on Wooten's tattoos is amateur, terribly amateur, at best. :/ Of course, he always could have gone to someone else.

Yes, I think so!

I presume that if they had found other ink on the UID they would have mentioned it, but with the condition of the body, it might not have been preserved. Wish we had more information to go on as far as age etc.

Yes, definitely the same person. I looked her up on the NYC eCourts, to see if she had a divorce or anything, or I could find any info at all, or if there were any cases in her name AFTER 2009 (there weren't), and she also had a personal injury case with that restaurant.

I think you guys are on the right track with this Deisha D connection and have located a chinese news article regarding the fried mice incident. The translation is not the greatest. http://www.chinaqw.com/hqhr/hrdt/200702/01/60146.shtml

So we can find no indication that she was alive beyond 09? I am thinking it seems very possible that this is the woman whose name the unidentified victim bears in his tattoo.

I've looked at/for her pretty extensively, and cannot find anything about her at all, in any context, beyond 2009 (or beyond the presumed death date). The birth-date definitely matches, year as well as date. Also, I have found her listed in public directory records (via Familysearch) consistently... until the beginning of 2009. I did try to see if she was living with anyone at the time, but didn't get anywhere. But really, if this is the wrong Deisha I will eat my hat. She lived in Brooklyn, so it's pretty possible that UID had some New York connection, or possibly lived there at least prior to 2009.

Okay earlier in the thread someone said DD was the daughter of a reggae star? Is that the same DD in NYC who ate a mouse? I can't keep my D's straight.

Yes, same woman. Except, granddaughter not daughter.

If you google Deisha D***, there is a photo of her and her mother on the grandfather's music studio page.

Interestingly enough, the wife of his that produced Deisha's Mother passed away in 2010 and there is a FB page that discusses the fighting over the estate of this gentleman.

I noticed someone posted about Deisha in a comment, I added a comment as well posting the link to the music store with Deisha's photo. I'm not sure anyone will reply but it's worth a shot.

I had a thought, the grandfather was from Jamaica. I wonder if Deisha went to Jamaica and passed away there? Jamaica's records aren't public as far as I can tell.

ETA: I forgot to mention that the obit for Norma Dodd (wife of Clement "Coxsone" Dodd) in 2010, did not list a granddaughter Deisha. But the daughters listed are Carol and Sandra. The photo of the music studio website says "Carol & Deisha" then the next photo says "Daughter & Granddaughter"
