The mummified remains of a woman were recovered from an abandoned home in Detroit 17 years ago. She still hasn’t been identified.

There is a resemblance, but I think Ms. Adamo would have had to deteriorate quite quickly to have lost considerable weight and literally rotten all her teeth to be in this Doe's condition at time of death (Adamo is described as having "good" teeth). Ms. Adamo also had scars for a c-section and hysterectomy, although those may not have been obvious on a mummified body. She was also 58 years old at the time of her disappearance, so a bit older than this Doe is believed to be. My guess is that this woman had substance use issues, was unhoused or housing-insecure, and had possibly become distanced from her family by these circumstances, and thus probably not reported as missing through any official channels.
