Just a thought that popped up my head. I saw somewhere around here that salvage yards had been called about the car? Ok I know the car. Year make model color. People are looking for a certain color. Ok. Did they happen to paint it so it could not found as easily? I know some places go by VIN but not all places will actually do that so could the car have been painted. It being the color it was factory done in they could have painted it black or a dark blue. Green. Any of the dark colors. Because I don't figure they would go all out to do a real paint job which requires stripping, sanding etc. So could they have painted it in a different dark color in a quick way? Hmmn

She did give him reason to believe they would be together according to Eric and FG's husband to a family member. Eric knew she was married and he also was married. His wife had left him just before he left for MI and FG's husband said to a family member that he and his wife were only living in the same house for the children. FG's husband spoke to a family member twice about the relationship he had with his wife and it was not a good one. He repeated that to the police. Eric mainly wanted to meet his daughter, but hoped things would work out so they could be a family later down the road.
I do not feel I should say exactly what our family member was told by FG's husband, but he was open to the possibility of someone hurting Eric and who might have done it. He also, according to police, told them twice early on that he thought Eric was dead! According to source in Saginaw who knows FG and her husband, when husband was told the local news was showing the house they had rented he said,"Bring it on!"

Thanks to Eric's mom and veestevens for their insight into this tragic case.
You are both doing what you can to achieve justice, and it's seeming like something's gotta give...

Surely the FG and her husband have to be weighted down by the knowledge of what they did/what happened to Eric.

Maybe they have, or will, confide in someone.

Fingers crossed that someone grows a conscience...

Is there anything that we at WS can do to help? Any research you need done, or anything? We want to help.

Thank you for your kind comment and interest in finding out what happened to Eric. I know several of you are trying to help and Eric's family truly appreciates that more than we can say. Anything no matter how small it may seem will be appreciated greatly. My husband and I were high school sweethearts. When we wanted to start a family with children we were blessed with a precious little 5 wk old baby boy with big dark brown eyes and an adorable face! Later, we were blessed with an equally precious little girl. Eric is a grown man, but to me he's my little boy and I will never give up on finding out what happened to him. I talk to his picture sometimes and say,"Son, I'm trying."

So we know salvage yards were contacted. But none have info on the VIN. Could there have been on that had the equipment to crush the car right then; one that could do it no questions asked just want the car gone. Some places will pay couple hundred dollars for junk cars or whatever even though I know it was not a junk. But she needed to get rid of it fast. Maybe she found someone to crush it in a hurry. Or maybe should have records pulled of all cars bought around the time he became missing to see if it may have been sold without the title. Check for all colors of that year make and model because it could have been camouflaged/ painted black or something and some places will do that without title. They do it as something like file for lost title or similar

Even where I live and work I see many cars like that one same color. And I know that certain year model and the year before they put out a lot of cars that same color. So that's like finding a needle in a hay stack. And I haven't come across any with the license plate it should have or even one with Michigan plates. But I have been keeping an eye out

"Bring it on."

I have one just as good as that saying.

"First one to the DA wins."

Oh, and in case the implication's not really clear, that does mean the last person to the DA loses...

In Teleka Patrick's case, who also went missing in Michigan, there were some wonderful journalists, working the story. They were so committed, and even joined websleuths, and were able to generate so much publicity and stories from what they found here....a story about WSers work on Teleka's case even made a story!

I do think some local journalists may have been missing a beat on covering Eric's story, which is full of mystery. Hopefully that'll change soon though.

Sigh. I put the apostrophe in the wrong place in that picture caption. Now I'll have to do it again.

ETA: Apostrophe relocated.

I must again praise Terry Camp of WJRT ABC Channel 12 in Saginaw. He and Liz Geraldi of Channel 5 were more than kind to our family when we spent 4 days in Saginaw. Liz had a change of work position, but she took time to talk to us later. Terry has continued to keep in touch (even today) and do whatever he can to help us. I find it hard to understand why national news runs segments on how to BBQ, what clothes to buy, what celebrity is marrying or divorcing who, etc and etc, but there is no network that runs a daily airing of who is missing in America ! My son's photo (as well as all who are missing) should be shown for all of America to see just in case someone has seen him or knows something.

I tried to make it look a bit arty, in line with what I've picked up about Eric. It's ended up looking like an album cover and I'm sure he'd laugh his head off.

My name was on the title, but it was bought for him. I have my own car. The economy was bad when he moved to OH in 2008 and I helped out. All of his former cars were in his name. I kept the tags and insurance current even for a year after he vanished. The last phone conversation I had with him in March 2011 included the car. He was getting a house, another job and a PO box and I was signing the title over to him. I had his new insurance cards and he said wait until he got the PO box before mailing and not mail anything else to the motel. I asked the FG about that and she said she was helping him with a house and job and she had a PO box.

Ok you signed it over to him so its possible she did sell it to somebody or a junk yard to have it crushed

Eric's hair was short in the back , but long on the sides when he left OH. Postings on FB tell how he cut it for FG and she commented he looked nice. That's a nice poster. I think that would be good to take to Missing in MI forum in May.

One of them sold it to an individual or a junk yard or its at the bottom of one of those lakes. That is what I am thinking
