Just thinking out loud. Eric's politics seem to be pretty far right. I'm wondering if he didn't join a group of protestors, ie Occupy Wall Street or the like, and is traveling around the country to politically hot areas. Since he wouldn't be working he probably wouldn't have the money to pay for a cell phone and many live in parks or "occupy" communities. Romney announced his candidacy right around the time Eric went missing. Does anyone know of a way to get his missing poster to the next large political event?

Far left, you mean. And we thought abt. Occupy. But:

1) He has never gone out of contact with his family for anything like this length of time.

2) Occupy movement didn't exist when he went missing - first rally wasn't until Sept. He is missing since March.

I think you mean left.

Good thoughts, but I think searching mentioned earlier that the time didn't coincide.

Ooops, sorry, searching answered you already.

Just thinking /typing out loud here, but I wonder if there is anyway to gain Power of Attorney or some legal action in that direction. I noticed upthread that someone asked if he has been officially declared as the childs father. Maybe that could be an angle you could take. I doubt it though.

It might be worth your while to contact a Family Law attorney. I know in Fl they have free advise and they are on local news to call in periodically. Obviously it's for advertising but you may be able to at least get someone interested in the case with just a few calls. Worth a try as they have access to many resources that cost the general public money and time.

We already went thru the VIN thing, but I don't know what has been done.
Jersey, you are amazing, LOL, I thought I asked a lot of questions, but here, so far, I think you just may have me beat.

Searchingfamily, have his mother do a VIN search on her automobile...

Here's a google search link with various site listing to VIN search, google search terms used are automobile vin search:

automobile vin search - Google Search

A thorough VIN search will include owners and accidents, registration & ins cos used, sometimes fines but not all of the time...

Just noticed that this guy is missing from the county where I was born and Saginaw is only an hour's drive or less from us. The go there a lot.

He's never been in jail as far as we know, but sure, anything is possible. I know the police have checked that, but know how far and wide that search goes. I would think national, but we can ask again.

Has Eric ever at any point been listed in NCIC or whatever data base there is for missing persons? Do we have that yet or is it still under discussion? We had one for cars awhile back, but not one for people. Please tell me we now have a national data base for people.

But where would they search? Do they come out literally for speculation on bodies of water that are nearby?

EquuSearch is awesome. Tim Miller is the founder. He lost his daughter many years ago and that pushed and inspired him to help others find the missing. He uses horses, helicopters, sonar, scuba divers. You name it, he can do it. He organizes volunteers in the area that he's searching. He's a wonderful person.

Update - BVPD say the typo was only on the Archbold police report. LEIN has it correct. And again, we checked with the title office today and the title is still showing as active in Eric's mom's name - no leins, no abandoned or dup titles or request to make inactive or anything.

they work with local LE (they would search based on case details)

BVPD say he is in NCIC and LEIN. People here have helped me get him in NamUS. Jason's List is also putting him on their list. BVPD has told us about other dbs' but hard to recall all the letters.

Just a thought - title is still okay - has vehicle been registered i.e. License plates?

If you are going that way and can take some extra time to put up some posters we'd be most grateful.

Attached with updated information.

Plates expired earlier this year and owner (Eric's mom) has not renewed them.

Do any of his ex wives stay in touch with your family? This may be too personal, just was wondering.
