This is a link to the post on Eric's page with a picture of my sisters holding Eric's banner while I spoke about him at the Missing in Michigan event in Detroit on the 14th. Families are given an opportunity to speak and I take most every opportunity to tell his story. The Michigan police spoke to everyone about how important it is to keep after the police investigators about our missing loved ones. It seems most families do much of their own legwork and investigating. It is just important to share what is found with the police, which we do.

This is a link to my hour long interview on "The Missing Voice Radio Blog Show" with Jody Newman and Meghan Whitfield on May 23rd. The show comes out of Mackinaw City, MI so hopefully someone in MI listened and has some new information for us. Like I said before, I rarely turn down an opportunity to share Eric's story. It has proven to be beneficial in obtaining information.

Erics mom, im so sorry for not coming back since I first posted, Im going to be very honest. I totally forgot his name, that shames me to admit but its the truth. I could remember soo many pieces of info about him, but just not the name :( I promise I wont forget now!!!

The funny thing that drew me into this was the dentures!! When I first read this thread, I had just had an accident and broke my front tooth, resulting in a temporary partial denture tooth!

The Beverly England case you spoke of, yeah I can totally see how her family feels like that, everyday in limbo not knowing/or knowing but having no closure, yet the animal who did this just carries on.

It is another hardship for the families of the missing to have to expend their energy and time to gather any possible clues to their loved one's case. I am glad you are able to do this for Eric, as I imagine many families do not know where to even begin. I am continually hopeful we will find Eric and bring justice to his case. I cannot imagine being in your place and the heartache you endure daily. The "not knowing" is oftentimes the hardest part right now.

My love, hugs, support, and admiration for you, Eric's Mom, continues to grow.

Just thinking of you Eric's mom and praying for someone to come forward with the truth.

I covered his story in my most recent episode.

You can listen on iTunes or Stitcher.

Good job with telling his story from the beginning. Thanks so much for having Eric as your 10th show. Eric has been missing 5 years, it's the 10th anniversary of his fathers death. I added it to his FB page narrative when you click "about page". Would you happen to have the transcript? I'd love to add it to the narrative

On your alreadygonepodcast.com page, you have The Find Eric Lee Franks Facebook Group. Group should be changed to page.

To each of you who continue to check in and see if there are any updates in Eric's case, please know that I truly appreciate it. I have not been on this site for a while, but I have been working on finding truth and justice for my child. SO MUCH has taken place as far as gaining new information that is incriminating against the only suspects in the case. I can not really discuss what we know about this, but if the police do what they should, we will see some results toward solving this case.

The lead investigator was reassigned just as the new information was given to me and relayed to the police. Have we seen this happen before ? !! YES !! We were told that this reassignment was due to the police being short handed. It is a shame that the investigator is trained in solving cases such as this and is out writing tickets. What a waste and misuse of man/woman power ! However, she is allowed to work on Eric's case when she finds time.

Things we were told ,on our visit to MI a few months ago, would be done , are still not being done due to lack of time on her part. She is doing what she is allowed I believe . We have other avenues in compliance with our rights legally to pursue help in Eric's case and we will pursue them ! Sometimes I feel we are being "pumped up" while we are in the presence of the officials and made to feel that things are progressing, but then when we get back home we feel deflated . It also seems when we are literally "given" new incriminating information, we are disappointed that it is not used to bring about the proper results.

I am AGAIN being patient and seeing if this time it is different. If not, I will continue to do what I can to see that my child gets fair and just treatment . My child was murdered and his precious body was disposed of as though he was just someone's garbage ! I hurt for my child and I will not let him down !!

Thank you, Tillicum, for your thoughts and prayers. There are SO MANY who tell me daily that they are praying for us to find Eric. While we will likely never find his body, we have enough information that if treated properly, we WILL see this case solved at some point, I sincerely believe .

I really hope that's not true. I'm always praying his remains are found. I think it's the only way LE are going to do something.

I understand, dalsglen. It is easy when trying to help so many different missing/murdered cases to keep all of the names in your memory. I keep up with a few cases that touched me in a special way. I also share flyers of many others just to help spread the word . I know how much it means to me when Eric's flyers are shared by SO MANY to help us keep Eric's face and information in the public eye. Posting about Eric has paid off richly by having people contact our family with what they know to help solve this case.

I had been deeply touched and interested in the case of Timothy Six, Jr, who went missing from Warren , OH . His parents & I became FB friends and I was so saddened when a few months ago, his body was found after about 2 years of searching. The autopsy revealed he died of hypothermia as he went missing in one of our really harsh OH winters. He was found very near where he went missing. It has taken months for them to be able to take his ashes back home with them in FL. I cried over that case. Timmy was about Eric's age when they each went missing.

I used to think that , too, but they can convict without a body in MI. I just think from what we know, those people made sure that we would not find Eric's body. I hope I am wrong and someone finds Eric's body.

I do hope your latest posts are a good indication that this case is moving forward and there may be a huge break coming! Glad you were able to stop by, Eric's Mom. I think of you a lot. You are a force to be reckoned with, for sure!! Keep going, and keep us posted when you are able.

I don't think they will do anything without his remains.

Thoughts from Eric's mom:

I just wanted to let those of you who faithfully follow my posts and share Eric 's information that I was saddened to hear yesterday from a close acquaintance of Eric's former girlfriend, that HIS former girlfriend passed away on Wednesday from cancer. I am saddened that a young woman of 40 with young adult children has died.

I have been emotionally drained , too, thinking of the lost opportunity by the police who have been in and out of Eric's case, to question this last person to see my missing son in Saginaw, MI.

She told a buddy of Eric's from MS that she did not kill Eric and could prove it. Our family repeatedly tried to get the police to ask her about her statement. Either she knew who did kill him or she could tell us exactly where he was. The police never asked her about that or asked her to tell them which of her several conflicting stories was true.

Time stops for no one. The police need to question the man who threatened Eric's life, as well as other people in that circle of people.

I just wanted to let you know this sad news. I woke up this morning praying for this family. Regardless of all of the situation surrounding my missing son and the lost opportunities to know the truth from this young woman Eric once loved, I am sorry that this young woman, the mother of his child, died and that her two young adult children lost their mother.

If you know anything that would help in this investigation, PLEASE SPEAK UP !!

Please contact the MI State Police at (989) 495-5555

I am somewhat shocked to see this latest message. I do hope Eric's daughter has kind and caring people to comfort her and watch over her.

I am still hopeful that this young woman shared whatever she knew about Eric's disappearance and that his mystery may be getting closer to a conclusion.

Thank you for the share of this recent development, Roselvr. And for Eric's Mom ..... thinking of you and knowing the person you are, you have such a kind heart to think of this woman with even a little compassion. You will once again pickup the pieces and move forward, with all the love and support of your followers and friends.

Unfortunately, I tend to agree. They play the odds, and the odds of conviction are not good without a body (or clear proof of death, like more blood than a person could lose and still survive.

Just started following this and it may have been talked about but have searches been done? Has Texas Equasearch been contacted? From what I've read, he likely never left the area he was last seen.
