Missing St. Joseph County teen may be headed for Indiana

Deputies request the public’s assistance in locating a missing teen out of St. Joseph County. It’s not known what she was wearing at the time.

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Mich. — Deputies request the public’s assistance in locating a missing teen out of St. Joseph County.

The St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Office (SJCSO) says 15-year-old Exdith Janery Rodriguez Davila left her Fairchild Road home at around 2 a.m. Friday morning.

It’s not known what she was wearing at the time but deputies say she had a backpack filled with clothes. She also had a passport and cell phone.

We’re told Exdith’s family does not know her phone number.

Authorities describe Exdith as a Hispanic female standing at 5’6” and weighing 120–130 pounds. She has dark-colored hair and a white birthmark along the neck area.

SJCSO adds Exdith speaks Spanish and is originally from Nicaragua. However, we’re told she may be headed to Goshen, Indiana, where she once lived.

Those with knowledge of Exdith’s whereabouts are urged to connect with dispatchers at 269-467-4195.

Exdith Janery Rodriguez Davila left her residence on Fairchild Road at approximately 2:00 a.m. It is unknown what she was wearing at the time she left the residence, but she did bring a backpack containing clothes and a passport.

She also has a cell phone in her possession, which her family does not know the phone number to.

Exdith is described as a Hispanic female approximately 5’6” and 120-130 pounds with dark hair and a white birthmark on her neck.

She was originally born in Nicaragua and speaks Spanish. Exdith previously lived in Goshen, Indiana and may be trying to return to Goshen.

At this time, she is not believed to be in any danger but her family would like her located safely.

This is my thought too. I'm thinking she has a boyfriend/girlfriend in IN that she didn't want to leave (or maybe someone she met online) and the cell phone is actually something that person provided her so they could talk. Doubt it's a cell provided by her parents.

I think where she was born is relevant because she took her passport and has ties to another country.
