I also hate that. It implies she was a "participant" and we all know she wasn't. She was raped and abused and that's what it should be called.

DETROIT— A former River Rouge firefighter accused of sexually assaulting his teenage daughter pleaded guilty in Wayne County Circuit Court today.

He faces between 25 and 38 years in prison. He was taken to the Wayne County Jail pending sentencing April 13.

The 48-year-old Romulus resident pleaded guilty to five counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor and one count of possession of child sexually abusive material.

A former River Rouge firefighter who pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting his teenage daughter for several years was sentenced Friday to 25 to 38 years in prison.

Calling what the man did an “ultimate betrayal of trust,” Wayne County Circuit Judge Lawrence Talon sentenced the man on five counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct and one count of possessing child sexually abusive material.

He was sentenced to 25 to 38 years on two counts of criminal sexual conduct and 17 1/2 to 38 years on the other three counts. He also was sentenced to two to four years in prison for possessing child sexually abusive material.
