Around 6 a.m., the Leelanau County Sheriff's Office got a report about a suspicious vehicle at the MC Short Stop gas station in Maple City. The vehicle was found running with the gas pump nozzle in the vehicle, but no one was around.

Video surveillance footage shows the vehicle driving up to the pump around 3 a.m., and the driver walking away a short time later.

Authorities searched the area, but found nothing. The vehicle was determined to be Druja's.

This is really weird! I am from the west coast of MI but had to look up Maple City and Cedar. They are 3.3 miles from each other. Maple City's population is just over 200 and Cedar's population is listed as 97. No wonder I hadn't heard of these two places!

If he left at 2 and was seen on video pulling up to the gas station around 3, what was he doing for an hour? The town he left from and the town he was seen at the gas station are only a 6 min drive apart. Did he meet up with someone to say good bye? Take a last stroll around town? I wonder what would have called his attention away from his car at the gas station. I am curious to know if he looked up as if he heard something and then left his car or if he just simply walked off with seemingly no specific destination.

Oh, no. I am so sad to hear this and I wonder what happened to him. I feel awful for his family.

how odd. Without knowing more about him, where his mind was at the time, what his habits and routine were, etc. - so hard to imagine what happened. Well, ok, not so hard, but several very different types of scenarios seem plausible. Sounds like suicide as there was no trauma to his body and foul play was ruled out. He has a great smile and warm eyes. So sad for those whose sadness is just now beginning.
