I hope I have started this thread correctly. I searched but did not find any other mentions elsewhere on Websleuths.

The girl's stepfather returned home to find the bodies of Gwen, 17, and her alleged killer, the coach, Ryne Leist, 33. Not known what, if any, their relationship was. According to authorities, Gwen did not consider their relationship to be romantic. Bowling coach kills 17-year-old student in shocking murder-suicide

Heard the press conference on this but really didn't pick up much beyond it was a bowling coach/student relationship.

IMO sounds like an obsessed coach/adult/teacher pursuing a relationship with a student, resulting in a murder/suicide.
