MI MI - Ingram Davis, 34, Lyft driver, sent strange texts, Detroit, 11 Jun 2020

Such a strange disappearance! Those texts messages plus the phone winding up with “Steve” make it even weirder. I hope LE gets the info soon about his last Lyft pickup!

It is very possible that it is a mental health situation, but that actually makes it more dire that they find him
Without proper supports and treatment/ medication, it would be almost impossible for him to live to his fullest potential. Most end up on the streets or in jail. Rarely does a serious mental health issue that involves delusions end up with that person getting a job, new home, clothing, etc after leaving, without some help. The police need to take it seriously.

Digging for more info, I came across a an update on July 11 on Facebook from someone stating they were Ingram's aunt and she says he has been located safe. Can anyone confirm this? I was unable to find anything in MSM stating he was found, and unable to view any other posts related to the person stating he was found. I hope it is true and he is safe.

I can't find any updates or anything for him either. I really hope he is safe maybe he was just having a mental health issue and has now made his way back home.

I saw the same thing, and I do believe that's his aunt. I've been waiting for it to pop up in MSM but no such luck.

Is he safe? I very much hope so! I just found this thread and my heart broke reading about this case. A happy ending would be amazing news! Any more updates? Thanks.

Someone asked the Detroit police to confirm 5 days ago on Facebook and they haven't. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

How bizarre

I am more worried about whom he is dodging from at the moment. (And the fact that the recipient of the text understood the context.)

He drove west, sold his phone just outside of Ann Arbor, and continued his journey presumably. This must be a serious dodge. Whatever it is I hope he has a safe place to stay.

I’m not clear on what you are saying, but to me, I thought the “Dodge Journey” reference was the SUV vehicle model which has that name.

This case is scary, bothersome, and very sad. I can't imagine the confusion and frustration his family must feel.

Re: Dodge

Long, long ago I lived in Indiana. Some people always referred to Kokomo, Indiana as "Dodge" because of the Dodge assembly plant there.

Google Maps indicates about a 4 hour drive between Ann Arbor, MI & Kokomo, IN.

Might, or might not, be relevant...but it's something to discuss, anyway.

jmho ymmv lrr

I see the post you saw too, his aunt saying they found him and he won't talk about the strange texts.

I wonder why LE won't confirm he's been found
