FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. (FOX 2) - The parents of a 14-month-old boy were arrested Sunday evening after police in Farmington Hills raced to a motel and found the toddler dead with signs of trauma, according to sources.

• ...were called to do a welfare check on the child...
• ...the toddler and his parents were long-stay residents at the Motel 6 on Grand River and 10 Mile.
• ...investigating that the toddler's parent's either sold or were trying to sell their own child before his death.
• ...cause of death has not been released.
• ...arrested the parents, who are both in their early 30s,... They are working on charges.

• ...died from brain damage caused by “blunt force injury” to his head. Farmington Hills police officers found him beneath a pile of blankets...
• ...initially told officers that the child wasn’t with them and they had given him away.
• Porras confessed to beating his son...
• The mother admitted that she did nothing to stop the assault or report the incident even after witnessing the baby having convulsions,
• An attorney entered not guilty pleas for the couple whose last known addresses were in Colorado and California but were described as homeless.
