What a dreadful waste of taxpayer $$$$. The man was a , gone for many years. Aside from his family, who really cares? There are so many upstanding citizens, including far too many children, missing. I would much prefer to see someone looking for those people.

2. The FBI said today there are still prosecutable defendants alive, and the investigation will continue as a result, just not the search of the farm.

I see no problem with it, it's what they do.

There was a book released a while back called I heard you paint houses. In it Frank Sheeren claims that he murdered Hoffa. From what I understand quite a few LE agree that he indeed did do it. Its an interesting book regardless if it truely holds the answers.

Circumstances of Disappearance

Hoffa was last seen around 2:30pm in the parking lot of the Machus Red Fox Restaurant in Bloomfield Hills, Oakland County Michigan, a suburb of Detroit, on July 30, 1975. He had been due to meet two Mafia leaders, that day.

Hoffa took over the presidency of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters in 1957. As the President of the Teamsters Union, Hoffa wielded considerable influence. In 1964, Hoffa was convicted of attempted bribery of a grand juror and sentenced to fifteen years in prison. In 1971, however, he was released when President Richard Nixon commuted his sentence to time served, on the condition he not participate in union activities for ten years.

Hoffa was planning to sue to invalidate that restriction in order to reassert his power over the Teamsters when he disappeared. Investigators have long suspected he was killed by the mob to prevent him from reclaiming the presidency of the Teamsters after he got out of prison for corruption.

Jimmy Hoffa was declared legally dead on July 30, 1983, but his case remains open. A special agent at the FBI’s Detroit field office is constantly assigned to it.

Looks like it took an act of God to solve this one! Still waiting for DNA, but I think they are on to something.

In a historic building, a former hotel that’s been refurbished into multimillion-dollar apartments, one of the few remaining original basement walls split open and bones were seen walled up behind it.
