Well from the sound of it this poor woman put up a fight when her attacker was trying to kill her as well. Good for her - I would like to think I would put up a fight in that situation as well but you just never know....

Now we need justice!

I wonder if Jane's family had any idea, as the g/f said, she had a rocky marriage.

Perhaps Jane found out about the other woman that night and had told B she was through. Seems she may have been the one who earned the bread and butter. His business was more about 'investments.' Much of the rental incomes, most likely went towards incumberances of the real estate holdings. OTOH, he had 50 properties throughout the area, some of the income had to have been retained earnings.

If he was worried about getting a 'loan' on a house for the g/f and he was behind a bit in his taxes, he may have had a money flow problem and J may have been about to make his cash flow even worse. :(

There's always divorce!

My heart goes out to her loved ones. I hope they arrest the person who did this pretty swiftly here. :(

more details on what was in the car: and yeah it sure seems staged to me!

Wonder if part of the STAGING was to make it APPEAR she'd been to or was on her way to a pharmacy to fill a perscription. But, LE didn't buy the 'staging' from the get go, that I can see.

There's no school or classes on how to commit murder. And MURDERERS make stupid mistakes. The first being, doing the crime in the first place!

Fran, I wouldn't be surprised if she had a narcotic or sleeping pill RX and he put it on the seat to make it look like she took some of them or otherwise have LE be wondering about it...

does anyone know if her cell phone was left at home or was it in the car as well? iirc the only thing left at home was her work badge???

Jane Bashara's body was found Wednesday inside her Mercedes-Benz ML350 in an alley near Seven Mile and Hoover in Detroit. Sources said she had broken fingernails and extensive bruising on her upper body. She wore slippers and her cellphone was found in the SUV, police said.

So, earlier we learn someone is at the station talking to LE about 'new information' on the case.

We also learned Mr. B's attorney was talking to LE as well.

Meanwhile, a retired detective tells the news audience that an accomplice is a good thing as SOMEONE may play 'let's make a deal.'

As the funeral service for the victim ends, we see tweets of an ARREST of a MYSTERY man.

Let's see if Mr. B is perhaps ALREADY in custody, unknown to the public?

so this "accomplice" walks into the PD himself early this morning per media reports...

that means he must have known the gig was up/not worth getting something else pinned on himself...

I agree that this guy is most likely playing "let's make a deal" right now as we speak...

bet there will be a trail of communication (cell records, email, etc)... bet someone else joins mystery-accomplice-man in the hooscow before the sun goes down in Michigan today! :twocents:

Multiple sources have confirmed to the Local 4 Defenders that at about 4 a.m Tuesday an individual walked into the Grosse Pointe Park Police Department requesting to speak to a investigator about the murder of Jane Bashara.

Sources said the individual provided key information to police that could lead to a break in the case and an arrest.

As of Tuesday afternoon, Police were continuing to work to verify the information provided by the individual.

title of the article was "individual claims firsthand knowledge..." so is this person arrested or did what this person know lead to someone else being arrested? hmmm?

Hoping there is some evidence under her fingernails etc. In case the finger pointing starts when these two start making deals. LE seems confident and has so likely some solid evidence in who exactly the killer was.
