I personally hope the child, now grown, stays out of this. She's already been damaged, imho. The court's ruled for the defendant. She doesn't need to add anymore to this story. BB has enough going on as it is. IF he had anything to do with his wife's murder, I believe LE will find out and he will be arrested.

Besides, I could see it now, unnamed sources, tell blah, blah, blah about the now grown victim that she'd done blah, blah, blah, anything to try to make bb look better. Look what's coming out of the woodwork about Gentz.

Personally, I don't care about what Gentz has done in the past. I care about what Gentz did to Jane and WHO? held a gun to his head. Wonder if it was figuratively or literally, 'held a gun to his head?'

Waiting for LE to do their job.

I'm not bashing LE (my mom is retired LE), but why does it seem so much more difficult for them to close cases these days? Even when they have the suspect handed to them on a platter. I thought all of the new forensics would make it easier, not harder.

Thanks. This is the first chance I've had to watch this.

Pt. 1 ~ They report that Jane had left her house again after returning home from work and when she returned home again - at 7PMish - she was attacked in the garage by Joe and an unnamed accomplice.

? - Where did Jane go during the short time she left her house after work?
? - Do most people talk to their spouses at 4:15 in the afternoon to check their schedule? What I mean is, if you're married 27 years, wouldn't people simply see each other when they got home? Too much 'framing' going on here imo. Example - they planned to meet at home at 8PM. 'Meet at home?'
Just go home and there your wife should be. :waitasec: Bb's terminology seems off to me and too cut and dried.

Another thing, how many of us 'panic' if our spouse is 45 mins. late? Why would bb panic as he seems to have come and go as he pleased, was gone from home for days on end to go to his places of lies, etc. Jane surely had to function on her own during these times without her 'babysitter' nearby. This guy is so full of ***** yet I can see right through him.

On to part II ~

Pt. II ~ Interview with Lawyer Griem

Message from me to Griem - ALL people are sinners.
Griem is most afraid of the segment of society who, just because people don't do things the way that they do, label another as being a sinner.

On the other hand, if a person has a long list of community service on their side, as bb does, they could not be capable of killing their wife. :waitasec:

Also, if one's daughter seems to still love you, then it is impossible to believe that you killed her mother.

Will these arguments hold up in court? Time will tell, that is, if bb ever gets arrested.

<snip>

Plus Jane is known to have had a cell phone. Maybe if JB was 45 minutes late AND bb couldn't contact her via cell/text, he might have a reason to begin calling her work to see if she stayed late or call her friends to see if they went out after work and she forgot to call.

But I don't see any reason for him to panic just because she was not even an hour late coming home. Detroit traffic can be crazy, and IIRC, she had to drive home from the city.

Pt. 3 (Chapter 2 of video report) ~ Jane's mother is devastated and is trying to come to grips with the fact that her daughter was murdered - she didn't die but she was murdered. She said that Jane was always alert and aware of her surroundings - very careful. Jane's sister is trying to come to grips with the idea that her older sister is gone. Jane had plans for herself now that her children were both about to move on with their adult lives.
Jane's sister hopes, for the sake of her niece and nephew, that bb had nothing to do with her sister's murder but, most of all, she wants to know the truth.

Pt. 4 (Chapter 3 of video report) ~ About Joe Gentz, The Handyman
Joe Gentz claims he has a heart of gold.
A woman named 'Cathy' opened up her house to Gentz for about five nights which is when Joe told her the things he did.
Gentz wants justice for Jane which is the reason he went to LE.
Gentz told 'Ted' what he had done to Jane and said 'her f'n neck was broken'. 'Ted' convinced Joe to turn himself in. At first, Joe wanted to leave the state. Joe went around saying, I'm f'd, I'm screwed. He told Cathy that he was a pawn. He told Cathy it was his life or Jane's and asked her, so what would you do? At first Joe karate-chopped Jane but she was still conscious on the floor, so he broke her neck with his boot, his work boot.
Somewhere in the remarks are the comments that someone else was there telling Joe to get it done as he was on a timeline.
Joe said that he was to get thousands of dollars to kill Jane but was never paid.

Pt. 5 - Interview with Todd Flood, Legal Expert
Why is Gentz a free man? Flood doesn't know, Gentz should not be out. From what Gentz has told authorities, sounds like Murder 1. LE must not have enough evidence or can't corroborate jg's story. There are several stories and they create falsehoods. But then there is an independent witness too so Flood doesn't know why an arrest has not been made.

One thing Flood knows, is that JG shouldn't be on camera talking but he feels this homicide will ultimately be solved - it doesn't just take a minute. Reporter adds that the forensics should be in by the end of the month.

will someone explain to me how all of our jails are flooded with ppl waiting to go to trial and these two ppl, Joe especially with the confession.... are walking around giving interviews. Joe did not kill her. He is a pawn--of complete distraction...HAS to be. just my opinion.

Thanks for all the updates. I do wonder why Gentz is free? The only thing i can think of is perhaps some prelim forensics isn't matching his story? Or he has too many stories. It is apparent from reports he suffers from some Psychiatric disorder and also a low IQ. IMO. I wonder in each of those interviews if a bit of the truth came out. Hopefully forensics will piece it together. I just hope there is enough to take bob down too. What a piece of work to coerce an easily swayed person into your dirty work. Who knows what threats bob directed at Gentz. I'm just worried what the Defense will do with Gentz on the stand. I can see him badgered enough to set him off. How good of a witness will he be? MOO

  • #174
If forensics link Gentz to the murder in any way, he's toast. I have a sinking feeling Big Bob will get off on this one. :(

Why would Gentz confess to the murder if he didn't do it? I don't understand why they let him go and walk the streets?

Just seen on the news that somone called in a tip and they found the Cadillac that JG said he was promised from bb. It was sitting on one of bbs properties and is registered to bb. No link yet from Local 4. Also, a new Witness on bb will be on the 6:00 news. Finally, more pieces of the puzzle.

Pt. 6 (Chapter 4 video report) - The Investigation as of Feb. 17, 2012
Investigators at the police station tell reporters that they are working nonstop to figure out who murdered Jane Bashara. On January 27, Bob Bashara was given a polygraph test while, at the same time, the 1st search of the home was being conducted - computers were taken at that time. LE began to interview witnesses. A handyman, Joe Gentz, came forward and claims to have killed JB as a murder for hire.

After the initial search of the home, people could be seen by reporters coming and going from the home for days (they show family member carrying laundry basket full of stuff out of the house). Twelve days after the initial search took place, Evidence Technicians arrived to search the home for a second time. This time they headed straight to the garage where JG claims that the murder took place. Blood evidence along with an extension cord and a large light were removed from the garage as well as some other items. Reporter mentions that Joe claims that he was being coached by the other man (who hired him?) to use the cord to strangle Jane or any other tool in the garage that was handy in order to get the job done.

BB's Defense Lawyer, Griem, is on camera saying that he thinks the 1st search party included FBI evidence agents and he's sure they found nothing because, if they had found something, it would have been leaked to the media. He concludes that LE has put blinders on and is only focusing on bb even though he is obviously not guilty because they would have found something during the first search if he was.

The story doesn't indicate, but I certainly hope they're running this information past LE before they go out and "find" these puzzle pieces? I know they want the scoop, but not at the expense of the case.

We all know who that is - Oregon I bet!

Bashara case: Oregon woman testifies in Michigan

Mystery woman in Michigan for testimony in Bashara murder investigation

The Local 4 Defenders have learned a mystery woman from Oregon spent hours Monday giving sworn testimony, under oath, regarding Bob Bashara, his involvement in the BDSM community and the possibility of a double life.

The Defenders were first to report about Internet posts revealing, what police sources say, what was a new life evolving between Bob Bashara, his supposed mistress, Rachel, and a woman from Oregon who would "round out" the relationship.
