Some fairly mundane questioning about the work #Bashara did helping find Forton a tenant

Bashara's attorney McCarthy questioning witness about why she rented to Gentz if she was so worried about him as a tenant.

Forton's dad lived in the lower apartment.

When asked why she didn't ask for a police background check, she said that's why she hired Bob.

Bob never sent her a bill for finding a tenant for the apartment, so she never paid him.

Crowd has thinned out a bit since lunch. Some people I suspected were friends or family of Jane #Bashara didn't return.

I'm just now starting to listen to the opening statements. First thing, the sound is terrible. :/

Cross-exam covering lot of details of why Forton didn't evict Gentz, when various money was exchanged, etc. Forton says she was evicting him

Is it on youtube yet?

If judge holds to her schedule, this will be today's last witness unless they finish up in 10 minutes and call someone else for a quickie

McCarthy: "It left a bad taste in your mouth that you had a tenant...living upstairs from your dad, who's implicated in this horrific crime"

Looks like Forton will be final #Bashara witness of day with court restarting at 9:30 a.m. tomorrow.

George Hunter ‏@GeorgeHunter_DN · 43s44 seconds ago
Forton agreed w Moran that Gentz never "lost his cool" the way Bob did in dealings with her.

George Hunter ‏@GeorgeHunter_DN · 52s52 seconds ago
Since the start of this case, I've had several people tell me Bob would become aggressive when he wanted his way.

Not sure if I'll be at #bashara trial tomorrow, not covering all days. Going to try and find out who witnesses will be and hope to be back

George Hunter ‏@GeorgeHunter_DN · 24s24 seconds ago
Although this line of questioning is a bit tedious, jurors are listening intently. Some literally on the edge of their seats.

Judge: "We're done for the day. I'll see you promptly tomorrow at 9:30."

BBM: Agreed! Seems like that "circus" has been mostly Tweeted by a bunch of clowns so far. That trial has its ridiculous qualities, but it's still a murder trial. Hope they sober up a bit.

I like how the Bashara trial Twitter reporters are not making wisecracks and juvenile jokes about the BDSM stuff here. Just reporting testimony. Justice for Jane.

Diallo said the solicitation to murder case where Bashara admitted he tried to have Gentz killed wasn't to keep Gentz from testifying, it was because Gentz confessed to killing his wife.

Oh hilarious! Wonder who came up with this slant!

Thanks folks for all the posts - my day was spent at the dentist's office.

My main objection to the tweets and live blog is that they report objections, but give us no clue as to how the judge ruled. Plus, they don't elaborate as to the nature of the objection. I find those rulings to be important, since they tell up what direction the questions can and cannot go. That knowledge really helps the follower to understand and doesn't take that much time. No, we don't need every objection/who objected/ what the objection was/ the ruling. But please, just one here and there?
