McCarthy is asking about the money paid out. Robert said he remembers a life insurance policy valued at $90,000. He said he doesn't know who the beneficiary was on that policy.
Robert said he initially received all of the money and distributed it.
He said his sister got $20,000 and he got $15,000. He said his grandmother got $55,000.
Robert said the payment to his grandmother was at his father's request.
McCarthy is asking about the 401(k).
His father, at first, was to get 50% and he and his sister would split the rest, Robert said.
Then Bashara wouldn't take any of it and Robert and Jessica would split it, Robert testified.
Robert said his father hoped they would give some of the money to his grandmother to help pay legal costs.
Robert said the money from the 401(k) has never been paid out.
Robert testified he graduated college in 2010.
He said he attended Purdue.
Robert said he had financial aid and his parents helped pay for costs.
He said he also paid for part of his schooling.

In addition to Jane's $90k insurance policy, there was another policy. That also hasn't been paid out yet.

Robert said he never saw money being a big concern for his dad during an interview with authorities in 2012.
McCarthy asked Robert if on Jan. 25, 2012 when he spoke with his father about his mother's death, did Bashara say
Jane Bashara had been murdered. Robert said he didn't have the details at the time.

McCarthy is asking about the press conference outside of the Middlesex house. Robert had testified that his father was not crying.
Under questioning, Robert said his father had issues with his eyes. McCarthy asked Robert if when he saw his father cry at other
times, he saw tears. "I've seen tears from him before," Robert said

Robert testified he had seen his father cry before and after his mother's killing. He said his father was not crying during the press conference in front of the house.
While addressing the media that day, Bashara lifted a handkerchief to his eyes.
