Mr. Lee originally was charged with having sex w someone under 13 yrs old; 5 counts of CSC 1...pleaded down to CSC2 eventually.

Hi a long................day. I was in Court saw all the Drama LOL There was much fun banter between the Defense and Prosecution. Lisa Lynsey had the cutest tweed Mauve suit on. Sat next to Amy Lange. Trust me her pictures do not do her justice. She is a knockout and so sweet and personable. Heard Bob got the cortisone injection which to me was kind of strange. Doubled over in pain and gets a shot for inflammation????? Hmmmmm It's a bit getting thru security. Bins and all. Just like at the airport LOL Lines move well considering the line up. It's a very busy Courthouse. Our lineup extended into where the potential Jurors sit. Jury was brought in twice briefly so I didn't get a chance to note any details. I would say everyone I saw was at least 30 and up. The 1 Juror who complained earlier "do I have to sit on the bench _ many weeks"? Yes they do. 2 of them. As Judge Evans stated at that time cushions would be provided. And they were. Certainly not the comfy leather swivels their fellow Jurors share. Other than that I have really nothing else to share. I have one day next week I can go and will keep u posted if I can get there. Gal Pals are checking their schedules. Hope I can as I was so very disappointed.

Back story to even getting there. If your inclined for a laugh. We decided prior to drive to Windsor and hire a Driver to take us across the Border via Tunnel. We knew prior there was nearby parking shut down closest to the Courthouse so thought our best bet. Driver meets us timely. We are in the back paying no attention and it's 1.5 miles to the Courthouse if that. We pull up to the border and are immediately pulled in. Our Driver had pulled into a Nexus Lane. Duh. So in we all went including the Driver who seemed rather irate. We ignored him as he said he crosses 2-3 times a day. Hello I cross all the time and know a Nexus line. We sat for 20 minutes until we were called up. Why were we crossing and why a Nexus lane when we were not Nexus card holders. I deferred that to the Driver. I am always truthful when I cross as I do so many times. Many questions. Why are you attending this Trial. Typed in the name Bob Bashara Oh and I had to spell Bashara for him LOL etc. etc. then I was asked why. I simply said I am a Victim Advocate. Questions stopped. There was much scanning of passports and what he typed and we were on our way. Then no Court Gr.....

Unfortunately, you didn't get to hear court proceedings today, but at least you got a nice meal in Greektown!!
Your story about the Nexus lane and the driver kind of made me laugh (sorry). He should have known better!
I do hope that you get to hear some of the testimony in person the next time you are able to make it to the "D".

LOL no worries. We laughed and basically said little to the driver for the boo boo. The only thing that sucked was he did charge us for the time we were hung up. We felt that was his fault but given his attitude we decided one should pick their battles and we did. Being on a timeline it wasn't worth it. I agree for somebody to be doubled over and receive a Cortisone shot doesn't make sense. His Lawyer got off the phone and announced this in Court. His other Atty. Lillian D. offered to go to Hospital and get an update. Thru much discussion and Hippa Laws felt cancelling was the way to go. Judge Evans wasn't keen on having anyone in her Courtroom who had just rec'd a shot.

Thanks for your efforts in trying to "witness" the trial for all of us here at Websleuths. Sorry you had such a harrowing experience but glad that you enjoyed lunch. Greektown is awesome, especially Pegasus. It will be interesting to see if and when the trial resumes.

As of when I left the Courtroom Judge said Trial to resume Monday. Also did say to make sure the Court had their up to date phone numbers in case of any change this week. Told the Jurors they would put in half a day now on Election Day to help make up for time. She is very engaging and kind to the Jurors and they appear to respond favourably to her. IMO
Hoping to get there again next Thursday.
