The Grand Haven Department of Public Safety is asking for help in finding a missing resident.
Jeff Scarbrough, 29, was last seen around 4 p.m. Saturday afternoon golfing with a couple coworkers at Chase Hammond Golf Course in Muskegon County. He drives a white 2003 Honda Pilot.
Police say Scarbrough told people he was going to Fruitport to pick up his son from a family member’s home, but never showed up.
Scarbrough’s father said his son’s disappearance is out-of-character.
“He doesn’t have any mental issues or any, he don’t never disappear,” said Roy Scarbrough. “He’s very reliable and any time there’s anything that bothers him, I’m the first one to get the call.”
Family and friends have created a Facebook group trying to assist in finding Scarbrough and have organized search parties.
Anyone with information on his whereabouts should call the Grand Haven Department of Public Safety at 616-842-3460, Ottawa County Central Dispatch at 1-800-249-0911, or Silent Observer at 877-88-SILENT.
