Also, if this is her pinterest, the drug angle moves way down on the list of possibilites. Too wholesome and regular. Sorry I even posted that theory.

I'm sure all weekend has been spent clearing RSO's in the area. I remember this was the first thing they did when Jessica Ridgeway disappeared. Door to door, sometimes more than once, doing complete home searches of RSOs.

I dont know what Pinterest profile youre looking at, but be careful. There is a blonde Jessica Heeringa who lives in Rockford (an hour or so East of here) that people are confusing our Jessica with.

I'm praying for Jessica just found out she was missing from an article at the daily mail http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...d-15-minutes-end-night-shift-gas-station.html

I don't understand how a gas station doesn't have any cameras here there is one at every gas pump, inside and around the forecourt. Is this normal in the states to have no cameras? Surely Exxon has a duty to keep employees and customers safer? What about people who steal gas? Baffling.

Right?! Especially right off the highway? So bizarre to me. Are they not concerned with burglaries? What kind of security do they have?

Do registered sex offenders kidnap 25 year old women though? I thought they normally went for girls and teens? There was a criminal minds episode on Friday where a trucker was the predator that might be the case here.

The google picture looks just like this Jessica, just more polished - like done up as a model. Almost an airbrushed version of the real person.

One thing I've learned following these cases is that sexual predators do not always age or gender discriminate (one example: Austin Sigg, Jessica Ridgeway's killer, had attacked an adult jogger previously)...

Honestly, I thought cameras were normal and I assumed owners would want to have them just for robberies alone. Maybe the economy has caused cut backs, but I have no idea what the monthly cost is to keep a security surveillance camera.

ok, here are my 2 cents. i just found the convo from yesterday. what i took the poster to mean was that a co-worker (who was off at the time) was driving past the gas station, saw the silver van drive around the gas station building and turn its lights off... they wondered what was going on, so they drove down to Meijer's and turned around to get a look at what was going on. when they got back by the gas station, they saw the back hatch door being closed and the driver drove off.

also - i'm thinking that there are two possibilities regarding the van. most 30-40 year old men wouldn't be driving a mini van, let alone a town & country, unless they had a family. perhaps this suspect is married and has children? any wives or girlfriends out there in that area happen to have a husband who didn't come home until later than usual that night? if the sweatshirt was bright orange, maybe the person works construction? i know (well at least in california) that a lot of construction jobs are done at night since the traffic flow is almost non-existant... if he does work construction, he might have even done this before going to work if they were to start sometime after midnight? the broad shoulders would also be a characteristic i've seen in many construction workers.

the other car scenario is that it was either stolen or a rental (but i'd lean more towards stolen)

In continuing on your thoughts of the van and shirt...

What if the man has a small service business. Many people use mini vans with seats taken out as work vehicles.

Also seeing that it is in MI. The orange top may be a hunter orange hoodie that is often worn under a camo jacket. Thought I read somewhere that it may be a hoodie.

The store NOW has cameras. It's like closing the barn door after the horse escapes. No excuse to not have a camera since it appears they are saving money by making a lone female run the store at night. Shame on them. But more shame on the horrible man who decided to do something horrific. It makes me sick to think about this and I cannot imagine how frantic her family is!

I was just talking to my sister about this. I said I thought the same thing...don't all stations have cameras? She said you would be surprised. Most of them have cameras on the pump, but some of the smaller ones don't have them inside the store. She also said lots of smaller stores have empty camera cases to make it look like they are watching you, but really they are not. I guess making people think they are being watched is really the point. Most smaller stores don't prosecute when someone steals a candy bar or something, it's not worth their time. They use the cameras as a deterrent only.

Many aren't even registered because they simply haven't been caught. They are the worst kind, and the most cunning. A sexual predator can be your next door neighbor and the age group depends on their own personal experiences. It ranges from infants to senior citizens, but from my limited knowledge, the individual perp is consistent in their attacks with their preferred age group.

Is there a FaceBook page set up for her yet?

I hope they have Jessica safe... And the identified perp... By the 6:30 p.m. Presser!

:please:

I've been searching a bunch for info on this evening's presser and can't find anything. Where did you get the info on it? I'm wondering if it has been postponed.

I don't think having no cameras is a recent development. When I worked for a convenience store/gas station in the middle 90s, there were only fake cameras. We clerks were pretty much sitting ducks.

She added that she does not recall Jessica Heeringa complaining about any particular person or an incident that might have led to her missing. She does recall telling her daughter several times that she was concerned for her working late at night by herself.

“She said, ‘Mom, don’t worry. I can handle anybody,’” Shelly Heeringa recalled.

This gives me hope that she will outsmart her captor. I really really hope she can do it! I feel like she'll really try to! She doesn't seem like a person who really gives up easily. Just MOO.

Please know this is purely a speculation. It is not meant to hurt anyone. It is just an attempt to locate this dear lady.

If you look at her MySpace page, there is a post which indicates she became pregnant and the father, the man she loved left her. This is contradictory to certain posts on FB.

I am wondering, and it is only speculation, if another man was involved as the father of her son, who left her.

Could there be some connection between him and her disappearance?

Praying for her and her family that she be found safe very soon.
