They are talking about boycotting the gas station now, until the owner installs camera. There are some upset residents right now and trying to get the news station to investigate.I understand all of this, but to me the most important thing right now is to find

He installed cameras on Saturday morning. If this kind of talk gets other station owners thinking about protecting their employees, then I say good. Boycotting this station isn't going to take anything away from the search for Jessica. What IS taking away from that search is the lack of evidence (thanks to no cameras).

heehee LotusPawprint :) We're all waiting for this 6:30 presser, lol.... :floorlaugh:

I'm sure Nancy Grace will be on this soon (let's hope so, even though she's not my favortie person in the world, lol)

No, no... she still has to exploit-- I mean cover the JA trial for another few weeks...

Even way back in the 70's when I worked at convenience stores at night they either had 2 employees on, or the doors were locked and we got customers their orders thru a small window, and took gas $$ etc the same way... the cops would stop in and read the Playboy magazines but were at least a presence... of course cameras for security were not around yet, but the managers seemed to take our security seriously...
The managers at this exxon could at least make an effort to SEEM concerned...

Just a thought, shot in the dark, maybe a regular said "Come outside and look at my new car!" Any new purchases of silver mini vans in the area?

I agree with the posts upstream that a minivan is a fairly odd vehicle for a male to drive, unless he has kids or its a work vehicle...

It could be a rental, borrowed it from a friend etc.

bright orange=possible jail attire? (any recent escapes or dangerous criminals just released?) carjackings?

ok, not posting anymore til the presser! Don't want to go off on an unnecessary tangent, etc.

Personally... I like how you think outside the box! :rocker:

I'm thinking of another potential factor here -- what if weekends v. weekdays are an issue for this guy? He has the home to himself for the weekend, works M-F, some other factor where tomorrow could become crucial?

I don't know... I'm really good at worrying....

Keep going with it...you could be onto something...weekends off (divorced and has the kids every other weekend?)

I remember when Jessica Ridgeway was abducted, the FBI released a possible profile of the suspect. They said:

"May have changed his appearance recently and not shown up to work on Monday."

WOAH! A suspect was identified? Got a linky to the FB page?

No, sorry Kaliste.... What iluvma said (see below).

it's a sketch but LE is not ready to release it yet.

Technically, no, we don't know who this person is yet. (and they have no one in custody)

Someone posted upstream a link to an article (looking for post) about other women matching Jessica's description being abducted (still unsolved)?

  • #329
I really though they had found this person rather quick....... I got my hopes up too soon.

Instead, it is a sketch of a possible suspect.

I can see how easily it would be to kidnap someone from that gas station and be on the highway in no time flat.

It really is off by itself.

Thanks Clue! I very much appreciate your insight as well (and everyone else here)! :)

I love how we all piggyback off each other!

Could someone please post the link with the sketch?

i dont think it really mattered if there was a nighttime walk up window or not in this case. he was there right before closing time, so he may have originally planned to get her after she closed and was on her way to her car. with no cameras, he could have just parked out of sight and come out when he heard her walking to her car. Yes, now we need a family member or friend to keenly observe that his/her family member is the involved/responsible person and turn him in like AS's mother did BEFORE anything happens to this Jessica.

I'm hoping the locals who observed the man in a silver/grey(?) minivan creeping around gas stations were able to narrow these incidents down to general timeframes like weekends or late nights. Something consistent so LE has a working theory. Something that would make sense with potential suspects and the sketch.

Someone has posted on this Facebook page that a guy has been harassing another female employee at another garage locally on the phone and that he was going to identify himself soon in person

https://www.facebook.com/FindJessicaHeeringa see recent posts by others first comment at the moment.

Hope all other garages are on alert and no employees are left alone.

I think the owner did (too late) and you're right, a boycott can wait until Jessica is found.

I though she was still in the store fixin' to clean it up and then go home?

They have not released the sketch yet. They did not feel it was appropriate yet.

Can anyone explain why they would have a sketch but not want the public to see it? Are they just shopping it around area gas stations to see if he fits the description of the guy that's been hanging around them? Why not let the public in on it? Not enough detail? LE doesn't believe the witness is reliable?
