WIXOM, Mich. (WJBK) - A battle between teenagers on cell phones brings them to blows in person and ends with a deadly beating in Wixom.

Unfortunately this is about a minute from where I work - several people that I work with are connected to this story thru family and close friends.

Today the "rumour" mill is saying that the texts were actually between the "kid" who swung the golf club and the murdered teens younger brother ---

How senseless. All of this tragedy for no good reason. I feel for their families. Their lives will never be the same.

My heart goes out to the family of the boy who was killed. This is such a senseless tragedy. I am shocked they came with bats and golf clubs to settle their problems. If they hadn't maybe this boy would have lived to go to college as planned.

Very sad story.

Robert Lloyd Lowry, 18, said he didn't think before he acted on the day 18-year-old Justin Hussin of Wixom was killed...

In December, he pleaded no contest to involuntary manslaughter as part of a sentencing agreement that included a penalty of five to 15 years in prison.
