“The Lincoln Township Police are asking for assistance in locating a missing 51 year old white female.

On August 19, 2020, [PW] contacted the Lincoln Township Police to report his girlfriend of 7 years as missing. Karim Donayre was last seen by Mr. [W] at approximately 5:00pm on Sunday August 16, 2020 in the parking lot of the Lincoln Township Beach on Notre Dame. She had gone on a bike ride to the beach. While at the beach, she texted her boyfriend who drove to the beach to meet her. After being at the beach for a short time, her boyfriend left in the car and Karim was going to ride her bike the mile and a half back to the house they shared. She did not arrive back at the home.

The last contact from her cell phone was on August 17 at 7:42am in the form of a text from her to Mr. [W].

Ms. Donayre was last seen wearing jean shorts, a white top and riding an orange mountain bike with a black basket. She is 51 years old, about 5’2” and weighs about 100 pounds. She has short brown hair with blond highlights.

The Lincoln Township Police and Fire Department conducted a search of the area where Ms. Donayre was last seen. A drone from Great Lakes Drone Company was utilized to assist with the search of the area. Ms. Donayre and her mountain bike have not been located as of this release.

The Lincoln Township Police asks anyone with any information to contact the Lincoln Township Police Department at 269-429-2444.“ (BBM)

The beach itself has been closed since February due to shoreline erosion. There is a video at the link that shows what it looked like back in February:

The township website says, “THE BEACH IS CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE DUE TO THE EROSION”:

In the map below, the blue dot is where the entrance/parking lot is, and the yellow dot is where the beach is:

It has already been over 72 hours since Karim was last seen, so hopefully, she is found very soon. If not, I may go down there and snap a few photos tomorrow.

Yes. Supposedly a text message was sent from her phone to his.

It looks like the PD has edited their Facebook post (people were speculating quite a bit ... ;)). Here is a link to an article by a local publication that also contains the details as I posted earlier:

A neighboring township’s PD has also posted the original version ;):

Thank you for that. I’m going to sit on my hands for a bit on this one.

Quoting myself because I just noticed this and now I’ve changed my mind! She supposedly left for home at the same time as the bf on her bike on the evening of the 16th. He reports her missing on the 19th. Nope. Nope. Nope.

Ugh. I saw “Did not return from bike ride” & I immediately thought “Not again.”

Fingers crossed she will be found safe.

“Please continue sharing this post to get the information out.

The Lincoln Township Police are continuing the investigation into the whereabouts of Ms. Karim Donayre. We have received multiple calls and messages that have provided us with helpful information. Ms. Donayre's boyfriend has cooperated with all of our requests and we have interviewed her friends and family.

Ms. Donayre was last seen on August 16th at about 5:00pm at the Lincoln Township Beach and last heard from on August 17th at approximately 7:24am.

Ms. Donayre was last seen wearing jean shorts, a white top and riding an orange mountain bike with a black basket. She is 51 years old about 5’2” and weighs about 100 pounds. She has short brown hair with blond highlights.

The Lincoln Township Police and Fire Department have conducted searches of the area that Ms. Donayre was last seen and where her phone last pinged. A drone from Great Lakes Drone Company, with thermal imaging capabilities, was utilized to assist with the search of the areas. Ms. Donayre and her mountain bike have not been located and as of this post, no one has had contact with her since 7:42am on August 17th.

This is an ongoing investigation and is very fluid, especially early on. We are trying to keep this about the missing person and are asking that comments be focused on sharing and receiving information that may help locate Karim Donayre.

We ask that anyone that may have interacted with her or seen her over the last several days, contact the Lincoln Township Police Department at 269-429-2444.” (BBM)

Oh, yikes—shades of Suzanne Morphew, down to the mountain bike. Hope she, unlike SM, is located soon, and safe.

Are there cameras at the beach? I’d like to know who saw her last besides the bf?
