No, unusually mild temps. It has been 60 degrees for the past several days. Down to 40ish today. No snow.

I live in Oakland County (south of Flint area) and would not have known about Kevin if not for reading about it here. There has been nothing in local (Detroit) media so far. When the older couple was missing earlier in the week (found safe) and the little boy went missing on Christmas Day (found deceased), both were covered by local media. I hope the young man is found soon and is safe, but it really doesn't seem like there will be a favorable outcome.

I agree. I saw several friends share on FB because we are very local (Genesee county) and was surprised it hadn't been more public or that it wasn't shared here, yet.

My heart breaks for his family.

I wondered if he brought his own change of clothes for his date. But his money, phone, etc all left in the car. That part seems odd. I'm wondering if the car was taken back to the parking lot with his belongings in it and if he actually met the friend somewhere else.

I'm not too far from there either. Although the messages online had been "erased" we know very little is truly erased when it comes to the internet. Wondering if LE has reached out to grindr, etc to see if the messages can be retrieved?

I believe that the detective has reached out but that the process can take time. Not sure if this was in MSM so MOO.

Hoping this wasn't a hate crime or setup. I wonder if he willing went off with this person, but to have the phone turned off so soon after seems to me like it was planned.

It sounds like the clothes do not indicate a struggle or injury. So he must have removed his clothing willingly. It's too cold to do that outdoors. So they must have been inside of a vehicle or in a building. The person he met may own a business or live alone.

Kevin's family said he wouldn't have missed their Christmas celebration, or have gone anywhere without his phone. I hope LE is giving this case the priority it deserves, because the circumstances are super alarming!

Yes, from what has been shared anyway. All messages had been deleted from his phone when it was recovered. There was a search today facilitated by friends at a nearby park.

Investigators say Bacon's vehicle was found on Thursday in Clayton Township near his home. A K-9 searched the area for Bacon, but they didn't uncover any clues to his whereabouts.

What kind of K-9, a scent dog? I guess it wouldn't be unusual that no clues were found. He either got into another car, or his was brought to the Dollar Store parking lot and left. Can someone map link the location his car was found? Do we know how close to his home the car was found?

At least someone is trying to cover this. I am very disturbed this isn’t getting more attention.

We need to keep this thread as active as possible until Kevin is found! There are a lot of missing persons out there - but not many with circumstances like this from the beginning.

Shoes left in car!

Last case I remember only shoes left in car were the ones by the girl hiking in the Hawaiian wilderness... that made national news instantly! Maybe he changed clothes- but shoes???? That’s not likely.

I’m seeing lots of shares and comments on FB, hopefully we will see the media catch on and more resources will be used to find this young man.

This doesn’t sound good at all! I hope he is found soon!

According to friends and family, Kevin Bacon was last seen at around 5:15 p.m. on Christmas Eve. They say he was on his way to meet up with a stranger from a dating app, and they have been unable to contact him since approximately 6:20 p.m. on Christmas Eve.
He sent a text at 6:12 stating he felt this date was going to be fun; said he’d be home that night; only stated the man he was meeting was from Swartz. A 6:23 text back to him wasn’t delivered.
They located Bacon's vehicle near Seymour & Miller in Swartz Creek.

I wonder if LE can get the information as to who he met, from the dating app? Because this is not sounding good, the clothes and everything being in the car.
