KDPS asking for public assistance in locating missing 70-year-old man
Kalamazoo police asked for the public's assistance Tuesday in locating a missing man with bi-polar disorder who was last seen leaving driving eastbound on Interstate 94 around 5 p.m. Monday, according to a release from Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety.
Officers with KDPS responded to a residence near the 900 block of Grant Street at approximately 8:30 p.m. after receiving reports of a missing person. It was later discovered that 70-year-old Kirk Janson left his residence around 3 p.m. Monday, Feb. 4 to take a short drive. He failed to return home after five and a half hours.
His vehicle, described as a dark green 2000 Subaru Legacy with plate number BND667, was reportedly seen around 5 p.m. Monday heading eastbound on I-94.
