State Police: No foul play in case of missing teen found dead in St. Clair County State Police: No foul play in case of missing teen found dead in St. Clair County

It's so very tragic that this bright, talented young girl couldn't see a way out of the problems or demons plaguing her. Whatever issues she was having, the increased social isolation of pandemic conditions may have compounded it and made finding help with her troubled thoughts even more difficult.

So much pain, insecurity, worry, and unrecognized trauma can hide behind a busy, active life and a brilliant smile. Rest in peace, Leah. You deserved to grow up and see where all your interests could take you.

The way the police worded their statements after Leah Conner was found led me to believe her death was either a accident or self harm. I know better than to say someone doesn't look like or their life doesn't sound like it would lead to suicide. There was an 11 year old girl in my towns school district who committed suicide last year.

Perhaps Leah didn't want her loved ones to find her like that. So devastating. Poor kiddo.

IMO

it's really sad and I wonder what was going on with her...sometimes a small slight or rejection can spell catastrophe..you never know because teens can be very reclusive in their feelings ...so sad, some people suffer so at that age, she was so pretty and expressive..well on one level, I am glad she was not a victim of BG the monster. mOO
