Circumstances of Disappearance
Barr was last seen in Turner, Michigan on October 1, 1994.
A friend reported Mr. Barr missing several weeks after he last saw him. A neighbor advised that Barr packed up his pickup truck and drove off. His SSI checks started backing up at the post office, which was his only source of income. The Social Security Office indicated they stopped issuing checks after they went unclaimed. There has been no activity on the account since his disappearance.

I wonder if Mr. Barr's pickup was ever located?

The 84' Honda 3-wheeler caught my eye with this case as I've ridden one numerous times. You don't hear about them often. Did he have a trailer for it? Or did he use a ramp to put it on his pickup? Just wondering because that would be another thing to look out for.

The neighbor describes he packed up and left, but what exactly did he pack up? Could he have just gone on a riding and/or camping trip? Rural areas are perfect for riding. Could he have met with foul play out in a desolate area?

Lester Eugene Barr – The Charley Project

Is it possible that in this case he was going to sell the ATV? Maybe he was going to meet with someone to make the sale... and that someone tricked him, robbed him, and killed him? I'm basing this on the fact that the insurance checks were his only source of income... which could be the truth...
