Including retired Grand Traverse Sheriff's Office detectives, a retired medical examiner and a bartender who saw Meteer before she disappeared.
My husband was bartending, and I said, "You know, did somebody take her home?" And he said, "Yeah, Steve took her home."
Decades after the murder of Meteer, her friend Sally Horton took the witness stand for the first time and spoke about the night of April 19th, 1989.

Meteer's boyfriend at the time, Charles Manville, said the description of an unidentified body found a week later in Hoosier Valley made him pause. The victim was described to be wearing a necklace similar to one Meteer would wear.

"I called the police and told him that I might have, I might know who that was," recalled Manville.
