Police searching for missing woman last seen in Hamtramck who could be in danger

Police in Hamtramck are searching for a missing woman who they believe could be in danger. Linda Ward, 44, was last seen on Dec. 11 at Whiskey in the Jar in Hamtramck.

Police say family and friends have not been able to contact Ward. She was reported missing on Dec. 14.

It’s believed Ward lives in her vehicle, a white 2019 Ford Escape with Michigan license plate EQG0213, with her two Husky dogs.

Police said they do not suspect foul play, but Ward's family is concerned about her mental health.

According to family, Ward's two huskies, Coco and Benji, are also missing. Her brother told FOX 2 that the dogs may have been spotted in the area of E Grand Blvd and Charlevoix in Detroit on Monday night.

The Hamtramck Police Department posted on FB that Linda was "safely located" on December 18th at 8:30 pm.

A woman who was last seen at a bar in Hamtramck a week ago has been located, according to police.

'In an update on Thursday, Dec. 18, police say 44-year-old Linda Ward was "safely located" at about 8:30 p.m. Ward's family has been notified.

"The Department extends its sincere appreciation to the community for the outpouring of concern, information, and assistance provided throughout the search. We would also like to recognize the cooperation of other agencies that was instrumental in helping to achieve this positive outcome. No further details will be released at this time to protect the privacy of Ms. Ward and her family," Hamtramck police said in a statement.'
