Anyone know information why Jan Logston's strangler,rapist,murderer was released from Michigan prison

Not to nitpick however for the ease of searching, her last name was Logsdon, with a ‘d’ instead of a ‘t.’

From a cursory search, it appears that although her accused killer was arrested, tried, and convicted, he was eventually released due to potential problems with saliva evidence used to convict him (as this case preceded DNA). Her case was officially closed in 2015 although John Henry Harrison remained the only true suspect throughout all the years. Hope this helps, I will do some more research as well. Thanks as for the misspelling it has been about 50 yrs since we were friends.I remember it like yesterday as we searched for her body. I didn't know it was the saliva Thank you for clearing that up.I know her killer is dead. I thank you now I can find peace and look forward to seeing her in heaven instead of remembering her in her casket Peace to you THANK YOU
