The Mackinac County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a missing 4-year-old girl. Madison Yale was last seen playing in her front yard on, Monday afternoon near Krause Road and Werner Road in Engadine. Police say they believe she wandered into the woods. Yale is autistic and non-verbal and will not respond by her name.

She is 3 feet, 6 inches tall and weighs 42 lbs. She has blonde hair and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing a pink shirt, blue dress, and no shoes.

There doesn’t appear to be a lot of woods, but many, many fields! Prayers that this sweet girl is found!

So it appears that there are woods further down Werner Road, possibly behind her home. This is very troubling as there are multiple ponds and a large lake. Even beyond that is Lake Michigan.

Autistic children are known to wander and tend to gravitate towards water. I hope searchers are looking at nearby bodies of water. Sorry to say that I don't have a good feeling about the outcome here

Deputies believe Yale, who is non-verbal, wandered off into the woods. Search parties searched through the night to find her.

Police are thanking the public for their help in locating the child.
