Connection to homicide of Detroit firefighter

...Levalley said there is a connection between a relative of the female victim and the homicide of a Detroit firefighter last year.

“There is a connection between a relative of the female victim and the homicide of a Detroit Fire Department member last year and I think they were just convicted last week,” Levalley said. “But that has no bearing; we don’t believe there was any connection between the two. DETROIT - Detroit police are investigating the deaths of two people after their bodies were found inside a vacant home on the city's west side.

Andy Maldonado, 26, and Mariah Rasnick, 24, were found shot to death and burned inside the home. Police said it appears Maldonado was shot in the head...

I would like to speculate on a motive for this crime. I have thought of three possibilities.1. drug related.2. drug related3. drug related.

Just grateful the kids weren't killed too. Very sad.

I'm so glad they weren't there, too. Looking through her page, it seems Mariah's oldest child's father was murdered in 2010, and his sister was murdered in 2009. Mariah's poor little girl has now lost both of her parents. I don't know how kids grow up to be "ok" when there's so much tragedy surrounding them.


No idea what the story is with this, but if they were murdered at their place, I'm leaning towards a robbery involving someone they know. It says they dropped off her children, so I'm thinknig maybe they had somebody over to their place. I don't think it's random, and it seems a lot of people there don't have much problem with gunning folks down in the streets if they have beef with them.
