Found Safe MI - Maxwell Ensign, Missing, Green Lake Twp, Grand Traverse County

Grand Traverse County Sheriff’s deputies are looking for Maxwell Ensign, 21, of Green Lake Township, who has been missing since last Friday.

Ensign was last seen Friday morning at his parent’s home, but didn’t show up for work. His parents could not get a hold of him on Friday and have not had contact since, according to the Grand Traverse County Sheriff’s Office.

Ensign drives a black, 1990 Dodge Dakota pickup truck with the Michigan license plate DZA 5992. He is not believed to be danger to the public, and his parents are concerned for his welfare, deputies said in a statement Thursday.

He lives with his parents, who assumed he had driven to work, according to sheriff's officials. Later that day, his father called his boss only to find out he had never shown up.

His parents did not hear back for the whole weekend after numerous attempts to try and contact Ensingn. On Monday, Ensingn's parents called dispatch and filed a report.

Officers were told by the parents Ensingn has some contacts outside of Michigan, and the parents have called family members who live out of state to see if they had heard from him.

The parents don't indicate anything out of the ordinary in ME's demeanor or mental state leading up to his disappearance. They mention contacts out-of-state, but no mention of friends / family locally that he may have sought out. Was he in a relationship?
