As if we don't have enough parents killing their children now we have another case where a child murders his parents. Mark Ott who is 24 years old, but still lived at home has been charged in the murder of his parents. Sadly his brother 19 year old Chris Ott had to find his murdered parents. Guess what? This is happening so often that it is scary. I'm glad that they caught the killer and my heart goes out to the younger brother who found his parents. He will have nightmares for years. I wonder if the killer and his mother just didn't get along or if something just set this guy off that morning? I also wonder if he had ever been violent before when he was off his meds? What a shame.

It was an emotional scene Friday morning in Oakland County Circuit Court as convicted killer Mark Ott was sentenced to two counts of life in prison, along with an additional two terms of 37-60 years each.

Ott, 26, was convicted of killing his parents at their White Lake Township home on Feb. 21, 2008. The bodies of Barbara and Michael Ott, both 57, were found with multiple stab wounds in their home on Wiggen Lane.
