Police search for missing Detroit mother after her child was found wandering alone

Nicole Smith, 33, was last seen on Sunday with her 1-year-old son, Isaiah. Isaiah was found wandering by himself on Monday, but Smith is still missing as of Thursday.

"I don't think she would walk away from her baby, that's not Nicole,” said Melanie Hunt, Nicole Smith’s older sister.

Family fears woman missing after 2-year-old son found wandering in Detroit was taken

Nicole Smith was last seen Dec. 11 when she and Isaiah were picked up from her mother's home on Detroit's west side.
The next night, Isaiah was found wandering the streets of Detroit and was taken to a police station.

The family believes that Smith begged to have her son let go.
