“(The remains) were concealed,” Canterbury said. “You couldn’t smell any decomposing.”

Oh please, let them be able to determine cause of death...
This is getting crazy lately, people obviously being killed but no cause of death can be found...

It was during police questioning that the suspect confessed to dismembering Prpich’s body. He then led police to additional remains stored in a closet.

Police say the suspect’s apartment was clean and free of blood stains.

According to Prpich’s brother, Prpich’s phone records show the suspect in custody as last person she spoke with. Prpich’s brother also said he contacted the suspect. The suspect then told him he did not know where she was.

I shiver to think what exactly he kept (although I have my ideas). It certainly wasn't the torso as was the case with McD.

I'm getting a tad freaked out with all of this dismemberment stuff. Seriously. And I work in the medical field. Just, ugh.

"When you opened that closet door, you couldn't smell anything," said Ray Canterbury, Gibraltar police chief. "The apartment was well-maintained and it didn't look like a crime scene."

The man confessed to being involved in the dismemberment and the disposal of the body — but not the murder, Canterbury said. But police believe the person in custody is responsible for her death and acted alone. A cause of death has yet to be determined. Authorities are waiting on autopsy results from the Wayne County Medical Examiner's office.

"We're preparing a homicide warrant but it will be up to the prosecutors what the charges will be," Canterbury said.

More than one person? They murdered her and dismembered her elsewhere?

Remember "Silence of the Lambs" "put the lotion in the bucket". I wonder if that is why he removed part of her skin?

My prayers go out to her family. She was a beautiful young woman and I just can't imagine what they are going through.

I am local too. My prayers go out to the entire family. This is so sad.

This is horrible and its scary to have things like this happening so close to where we live in Michigan. What causes people's minds to go so far astray from normal? But, I guess, drugs could do that, if drugs are involved.

Neighbors identify the man as Jim Bommer, and say he was often seen with the victim.

"There was a little bit of a relationship there," said (Snip name), who lives next door to the man in custody.

Prpich lived at the Bella Vista Condos, and Bommer lived at the Park Place Apartments next door.

Neighbors say Bommer is a former mechanic and butcher who was good with his hands.

(Snip name) says Bommer was on oxygen and had cancer.
