???? I have not seen that reported anywhere.
Ooppps. No you won't see a report. I was just explaining my prior post which was an opinion, not fact. jmo

So, basically baseless speculation.
I was basing it on the victim just buying a gun which was speculation from another poster which I read incorrectly. The other parts were speculation based on the fact that he was shot in the neck and a gun was not found. It could very well have been an accident or a struggle. JMO
Some poster speculating that victim might have bought a gun doesn't mean victim had a gun.
If victim didn't have a gun, then somebody brought a gun to victim's place of living. So how is that accidental?
The nature of the wound makes it appear it could have been accidental. If he did not have a gun then it would appear someone brought the gun with them. I believe you can legally carry a gun in Michigan as long as you have a permit. jmo
How does the nature of the wound makes it appear accidental? Again, since it doesn't appear that victim had a gun, somebody had to come in with a gun, shoot the victim and leave, taking the gun.
How is that accidental?
The wound was to the neck and the ME was unable to determine it was a gunshot. That could mean either an accidental shooting or a struggle. The whole thing just seems very strange. jmo
Police and medical examiner officials could not immediately tell what kind of injury DeWolf suffered when he was found on Wednesday. It took until an autopsy performed Thursday for officials to determine DeWolf was killed by a single gunshot wound.

Seems odd that it took an autopsy to determine he was shot. I wonder if the bullet could have been fired from outside or another room and it was just a freak accident that nobody's owned up to.
So far this all we know.
'Seems to me that we have no evidence to support/refute an accident. Most everyone seems to be speculating based on what little we know... and that's okay with me![]()

I'm trying to recall any cases in which a deliberate kill shot was to the neck, and just a single shot at that. In a rage multiple shots are fired... In a deliberate hit, two shots are the rule... more if a mob hit...
So the single neck shot seems to me to be where someone might be threatening a person and the gun goes off unintentionally (easy to do!), or a person who amateurishly shoots and suddenly realizes or panics over what was done... or perhaps to wanted to craze an arm and missed....
We don't even know if the shot was from the front or the back. For all I know victim was sleeping when shot.
And if you are a medical intern, you could probably place the pistol on the neck area so precisely that pulling the trigger would be almost the same as severing the carotid artery. One shot and done.
Perhaps easy-peesy if the person is asleep???
