If I was going to perform a home invasion for profit, it wouldn't be on student digs.

Just saying.

There's something we're not being told. As usual. :(

Students are getting robbed day in and day out. They might not be usually rich, but they have modern electronics, such as cell phones and laptops.

Two of the suspects were arrested in South Carolina.
A 20 and 21 year old.... an Ann Arbor taxi cab business card, a University of Michigan cup and other items were found in the 20-year-old man’s home after he was arrested.

The 21 yr old was found by a tip and was in possession of 2 stolen hand guns.

Acting on a search warrant, officials seized the taxi cab business card, U-M cup, a laptop, gray backpack, pair of shoes, phone charger, two cell phones and the car, the report said.

Sounds like they may have had Paul's phone and laptop...or there is evidence on their phones/laptop...shoes might have blood as in bloody foot prints at scene.

before police said that nothing was missing. So I think the laptop and phones belong to the killers.

Unless police didn't tell the truth (which they are allowed to)

The dorm is in a home. For all we know the killers may have thought it was just a regular home. Plus they have the same articles in the dorm as they would have in a home, TV's, laptops, cell phones, credit cards, money, etc.

Or they could have been in the house before visiting a student and thought this is an easy mark. jmo

"According to a report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office, which was working with the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force, the 20-year-old was arrested without incident on a charge of being a fugitive from justice." (http://www.freep.com/article/201311...icide-suspects-medical-student-south-carolina)

Could the site below gives us some clues? I found four arrests made 11/5/2013, one with the primary charge of "fugitive from justice" (although it says "non criminal"). ??

July 23-the morning of July 24 - Sometime during this interval, it’s unknown exactly when, DeWolf is shot dead during an apparent home invasion. DeWolf died in his basement room in the Phi Rho Sigma medical fraternity, 220 N. Ingalls St. Friends said DeWolf had recently moved into the room after three years of discussing how much he wanted that particular room. From Timeline article.

Hmmmmm. I found a connection to some cities if that is a clue:

Sumter, SC
Albuquerque, NM
Ann Arbor, MI
Taylor, MI
Pontiac, MI
Ypsilanti, MI

I'd say that probably looks about right.

OMG, it might have been someone he was supposed to be meeting, like introduced to (speculation).

I'm just looking through online connections, but there is an Ivy League + Christian + veteran person that has that same Sumter connection, closely.

In other words, the possible fugitive looks like he is (possibly) a well-connected dude in Xtian academic circles if he wanted to play that card. Wow.

edit: so I think it might have been visitors (previous) to the dorm, one way or another. Maybe that's how they got arrested - from being investigated because they were tied to the dorm or program in a known sort of way.

Med students have lots of electronics. A house full of med students would be good pickings for burglars unfortunately

I noticed the Christian aspect of the guy's life. Also, I found a "white masked face" youtube rap video along with some weed-smoking tweets and instagram photos. What this (collectively) might mean... I dunno'

:dunno:

Thanks!

Joei Alexander Jordan was the name & photo I found on the Sumter SC "inmate inquiry"

Here's a mugshot:

I saved the links to his youtube vid and other stuff, too. (They were easy to find but I'll be glad to post if anyone has trouble locating the info)

Was Paul involved in something with troubled/counseling youth, or am I vaguely recalling something wrong? If so, was it a Christian group?

I hate implying this has anything to do with anyone's religion; that's not what I'm tracking at all, lol. I'm thinking of organized groups where people's extended 'circles' form.

I wish I could mention more about a connection I found, but there is no way of knowing if it means a thing! It's not a completely direct connection, so it definitely might be nothing.

The cities connection, OTOH, was pretty darned direct for Joei, if y'all have seen that. So those Michigan cities may be his own former residence cities, too. Visiting somebody in any case, imho. And with the cup, too? Oh, he's connected to Michigan, I think.

It's interesting that his arrest record only includes a minor speeding ticket. Hmmmm. Not a regular burglar (like it was impulsive?), or maybe he was just never actually caught for thefts before?

I'm trying to figure out why they chose Paul :( Who is this guy?!

I've seen nothing reported about Paul being involved in counseling troubled youths.

If you go to the Charleston County Jail website, and search by 11/6/13 booking date, a person named Shaquille Jones comes up. Age listed matches that previously reported. The warrant list shows two separate but identical weapons possessions and then shown in bright red... "Holding Charge - Ann Arbor".

http://inmatesearch.charlestoncounty.org/

Sounds like that's suspect #2.

My gut feeling says suspect #3 might be someone local, given the known connections suspect already had to this area... that would also possibly explain why authorities have given no detail whatsoever, given the likelihood of his identity being more easily determined.

This arrest report was probably linked somewhere but I missed it. I thought I'd share just in case someone else missed it, too.

* I was not familiar with ILP (Intelligence-Led Policing) until now (reading this report). I learn something new all the time!
