FLUSHING, MI -- Police are searching for a 73-year-old man that went missing Wednesday afternoon in Flushing.
Paul Lawrence was last seen around 4 p.m. Sept. 6 at his home near Flushing High School in the area of Deland and Carpenter roads.
Debie Lawrence, one of Lawrence's children, said her father has early on-set dementia and is not supposed to be driving.
Paul Lawrence is believed to be behind the wheel of a cream-colored 2001 Cadillac El Dorado after taking his wife's keys and leaving their home.
Debie Lawrence is worried because her father uses a Left Ventricle Assist Device, or LVAD, that helps his heart beat, that requires a change of batteries.
"We are madly on the lookout everywhere," she said.
Anyone with information on Paul Lawrence's whereabouts has been asked to immediately call 911.
