Maybe meant to bring on labor?
If it was Tide Pods (and we don't know it was), I would think it would be to poison her. Was that why there was an emphasis on milkshakes (Carvel, Dairy Queen) - were the Tide Pods mixed in??

I don't know. Speculation only. I'm commenting on the contents of her stomach being a blue chalky substance, the mention of milkshakes, and the mention of Tide Pods and wondering if they are all linked.

That entire affidavit is filled with WTAF stuff, imo.

<modsnip: Quoted post was removed>

I don't believe that they went to get ice cream in the end (it might have been a lure, along with the $2000/$18000 cheque that never existed).
I'm not sure about the chalky substance noted by the medical examiner but I imagine that lying in the forest for three weeks with one's abdomin sliced open might lead to some peculiar things growing on the stomach contents.

Something that might be noteworthy about what they consumed that evening was a report in one of the livestreams about Rebecca noting that Cortney had given her a single-serve lasagne which 'tasted funny'.

The charging document revealed an unbelievable level of depravity. These people are terrible liars, and I don't mean that they just frequent liars. They're not very good at it. Cortney is almost certain to claim her disability along with her supposed fear of Bradly made it impossible for her to be guilty of anything. Life without parole seems so inadequate for these two. As a completely irrelevant aside, none of these folks let looks stand in the way of "romance".

I have finally gotten to the affidavit, and my eyes are bleeding....

These people are psychopaths IMO, they have no regards for anyone but themselves.
I feel for the poor 14yo boy who has lived in that environment and hope that he finds support to grow up into a decent human being.

On a side (lighter) note: the scalpels to lance her cellulite???? I can't even.

Next to her bed! Like does she lance the cellulitis while IN the bed?!

And her partner apparently knows all about it. I even googled to make sure I was thinking of cellulitis correctly. Yep....and....gross. I wonder if they mean she drained cysts??

Nevermind, I don't want to think about it.

Actually that's a good point...I was thinking about cellulite as in fat, maybe she meant cellulitis as in the infection of the skin (the spelling matters and not sure the writer of the affidavit knows the difference).
Either way, it's gross and not something one should do at home (even less in bed 🤢 ).

Right. I think they were abscesses, she lanced herself, she did lose a leg after all? Makes me wonder if she was an intravenous drug user?

That would make sense

Seriously.
That was one of the most vile and morally bankrupt things I have ever read. Nasty, soul-less humans - both Cortney and Brad deserve the full weight of the law dropped on them. I can only imagine how frightened poor Rebecca must have been for her unborn child and herself.

That Affidavit is what nightmares are made of... Hideous.

The substance in her stomach is puzzling me. Based on the timeline she probably ate it (or whatever it was in) willingly, but I don’t see how you could covertly slip someone “copious amounts” of anything.

I guess it could be unrelated, some women develop pica in pregnancy… it’s just so odd! JMO.

These people were monsters. They could have forced her to ingest something.
