I think Circuit Judge William Marietti gave some of the best oral jury instructions I have heard. He was clear about weighing the truthfulness and testimony of the witnesses, the role of the opening and closing statements, how the jury is to begin -- from the perspective of innocence and then careful weighing of evidence. Impressive.

Thanks, loreet. I didn't hear Judge Marietti's instructions myself and not one tweet came through regarding them so had it not been for your post I'd not have known how impressive Judge Marietti was. Let's hope the juror's in this trial know what unanimous means--unlike the juror's in the Quinton Tellis trial. :doh:

OMG! This is wonderful news. Willis radiates evil and should never walk the streets again. Now tell Jessica’s family where she is.

When Willis was testifying it reminded me so much of Jason What's-His-Name who has had two or three trials for the murder of his pregnant wife. He hadn't talked to police or anyone before the first trial, so when he testified, he had obviously crafted a story to fit the known evidence - like it was just a bad coincidence that 100 pieces of evidence all pointed to him.

Willis will be sentenced on December 8. He faces a mandatory sentence of life in prison without parole.

He has two more trials coming up...Jessica Heeringa murder and the abduction of that brave 16 yr old girl who helped nail this animal with descriptions and line up ID...and then testimony in this trial.

I wish the TV camera's weren't banned from the courtroom. What I'd give to see Willis's reaction when the Verdict was read out. By filming the jurors, the TV camera man (whoever he was ?) spoilt it for alot of people who were following the trial. DO NOT film the jurors, ever..egg!!! :doh:
