So he couldn't control his animal instincts and she had to die for it???? Sometimes men (not all men) are such pigs. He saw something he wanted and he just decided to act on it, regardless to what she wanted or how she felt and he had to kill her. This kinda crap makes me so angry. She didn't do a damn thing to him or anyone else, yet he decided she was to die.

So sorry to hear this dreadful news, again (and again and again). It's sick, cruel and so damned unfair.

RIP Rebekah

you know what really makes me mad... that she trusted him.

She trusted him with her precious son.

That makes me absolutely need to go punch a wall or something.

thanks Score!

I also looked on National Offender Site...Family Watchdog....but did NOT find him there...

I can't believe he does not have some kind of priors...

Has anyone found any aliases/AKA's for him?

TIA
On the second FB page linked here, I noticed one of his statuses alludes to rumors going around about him and says he is a now a changed man.

He sounds like he can't understand why people doubt he is a changed man...

Many thanks to all for the updates. I was interrupted as the presser began until about 5 minutes ago. So very sorry Rebekah your life was ended by this piece of ....:furious: Gosh coming off the Whitney H. thread so many similarities. RIP :rose:

I'm waiting to hear of others coming forward. This makes me so sick. You are so right Nurse, she trusted him, probably saw him (his family) with his own granddaughter and thought he was safe. She could have been in a bind too! I just don't know and she and her son and family most certainly didn't deserve this. He has ruined many lives including his own family. No Mercy! IMO

I also don't comment on appearances very often. But I had the same thoughts. He is so ugly. He fits the TV stereotype of the creepy-looking backwoods guy with rotten teeth. You are supposed to be able to trust men of God. But here is another one who is a fake. It's just an example that shows you cannot trust anyone.

These men infuriate me. They take advantage of women who depend on their help. Often, they focus on single mothers. It's disgusting.

I have been trying since early this morning to post some info and some corrections, but a mod has just now turned on my posting ability.

1. I'm not sure if he was married but he was dating a relation of Rebekah. So, he was not JUST a neighbor.

2. It was not unusual when Rebekah had to work in the morning for him to come over and sleep on the couch until Rebekah's son woke up and then take the son to his father.

3. As should be obvious by now, he is the one who reported seeing her in the morning and said that she had left for work.

4. Contrary to what the Sherriff implied, he did have wounds to his face and hands that he blamed on an accident in his home. In line with what the Sherriff said, though, he lied to police at first and changed his story a few times prior to confessing.

5. When she did not show up for work, her boss had an employee go to her home to check on her. Her car was not there but was found nearby. The park manager (?) verified she was not in the home. Everyone that they could think of was contacted as soon as possible and Rebekah's son was located. If not for them, this could have gone on much longer and John may have been able to escape detection.

Most of the other erroneous statements have since been removed or corrected.

You just know that we're going to hear she was raped. Why else would he have done this?
I'm sorry to hear how much she trusted him-when I Was a single mom, I never, Ever let a man Sleep in our house.
I know it's inconvient, but if she couldn't stay at grandma's, it wasn't going o happen.
Thankfully, my daughter is all grown Up, and has never been molested.
It breaks my heart to read these stories.
